Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Attract Cat Litter is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 394.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a believer One of my female cats recently began having issues using the litter box. I took her to the vet, who gave me the dreaded "It's behavioral" diagnosis. The vet mentioned Cat Attract as a possible solution but I resisted--how could changing the litter make a difference? Well, after months of cleaning up mess after mess, I reached my limit and decided to give Cat Attract a shot. EUREKA! My female is now using the litter box again! The only drawback of this litter is that it tracks everywhere and, like many clay-based litters, it is like cement when urine hits it, so it sticks to the bottom of the litter box like glue, making it difficult to scoop. I mix it with World's Best and the combo makes it easier to scoop. I will also note that this litter is very heavy: I have numerous boxes throughout the house and the 26-lb. bag is impossible to cart around to each box. Nevertheless, I will be using this litter religiously from now on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Urine Problems Solved There is a cat who walked into my home and no matter how many times I put him out I mysteriously find him inside. This cat urinates everywhere so I keep puting him out. At time I have walk by my home and see him hanging out by my window on the inside. I finally figured out that he enters in through the opposite side of my dog when I am walking him so I am not able to see him get inside. Problem is that he will not use the liter box. Urinating everywhere. I even tried crating him. Just stuck one leg in the liter box and leaned his body against the crate while urinating on my floor. Finally ordered Cat attract and he instantly started using the liter box. He now has a home along with my other cats. My border collie herds them and Zorro (Oh Oh I named him) was accepted by all in my home. The liter is heavy and hard to clean but I will try to mix it with Worlds best liter. I would rather clean a heavy box than my floor, or furniture or clothing. It also controls odor. So basically Zorro says thank you Dr. Elsey for my new home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lifesaver The cat seemed to be peeing everywhere but the litter box. My daughter blamed him for his misbehavior and was liking him less and less. After she learned that the problem could be a urinary tract infection, she tried treating him with a product also bought from Chewy. It worked—the cat recovered and began using the litter box again. Most of the time. The trouble was that a few spots in the house, notably the sofa, had become so habitual for him that he continued to pee there. His future in my daughter's house was now in jeopardy. But then she tried using Cat Attract. I can't begin to say how grateful we are for this product and the team that designed it. My daughter's cat switched to using only the box. Cat Attract saved us from heartbreak and may literally have saved the cat's life, because out of desperation my daughter had been thinking she might have to turn him in to a shelter. The accompanying booklet is super informative with insights into this problem cat behavior and how to address it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My newly adopted baby is back in the box! I recently adopted a female cat who in her previous home was allowed to just urinate and defecate wherever she pleased for more than a year, then her previous owners gave her up due to her not using the litter box. I found her and fell in love with the little angel. There was definitely a long trial period of things that were supposed to work in getting cats to use the box. I took her to the vet to rule out a UTI or other urine problems. tests came back negative, so came time to try out new litters, I came across this and the litter attractant, ordered both along with the feliway diffuser and my baby girl is finally back in her box! It is great at odor control and doesn't seem to stick to my cats long fur which is a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No More Litterbox Problems! One of my cats had decided that he didn't like peeing in the litterboxes anymore. The sink and the shower were his preferred places, or sometimes, the floor. After a clean bill of health from the vet, I tried everything -- more litterboxes, different types of boxes, different litters, Feliway plugs. Nothing seemed to work. Then I found this product page and read all of the other miraculous reviews. I thought, "Why not?" It's been two days of use and there have been ZERO floor, sink, or shower incidents. None! What's more, the litter is very low-dust and clumps well. It does track, but I've yet to find a litter that doesn't. Happy cats and happy cat momma over here!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Product!Solved Our Problems! This product has been a life saver for dealing with lapse in litter box use by one of our Siberian/Maine Coon cats. After thoroughly cleaning carpet soiled with cat urine to remove all odors, I added this product to our regular litter boxes (World's Best cat Litter) & the problem was solved. The literature attached to this product with guidelines for dealing with problems behaviors was the best, followed it, and we have successfully dealt with our former "problem cat"! I am continuing to use. One suggestion: mix the Dr Elsey's litter in somewhat with other litter being used; I first just sprinkled on top of other litter and found that our cat was actually eating the Dr. Elsey's. I do find the Dr Elsey's is not as effective at preventing cat box odor, it is also very heavy, so mixing with lighter weight, more effective odor control litter such as World's Best seems to do the job and makes emptying litter boxes a lighter weight task.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Even though I was initially skeptical about whether this product would work for my particularly picky kitten, it seems to have solved our problem with him relieving himself outside of the litter box. At first he wouldn't use it, but we found out shortly that through coaxing him with treats and having the other cats demonstrate how to use it, he finally used it. And funnily enough, he won't use any other type of litter that we've brought home. This seems to be the only one he likes, and will use. We are very grateful for his positive behavioral change, so we plan to continue using this product. Plus, the other cats love it. In fact, they were the first ones to use it, instead of our little troublemaker, lol. I highly recommend this product, but I also recommend using the free informational pamphlet provided with this product, as it truly helped us discover our little one's thought process and ways to deal with his issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works for feral cat who has never used litter box! We trapped a feral cat that we sent to the vet for neutering and tests. He kept going to the bathroom outside the litter box. The vet tech told me about this product. I bought it and it worked!
