Rated 1 out of 5 by loismom Unbelievable amounts of dust
Sadly, I have to give this a rating of zero.
I normally use World's Best Cat Litter (Multicat), which is made from corn. I know that clay-based litters are rather dusty in general, but I thought I'd give this R&R version of Precious Cat a try in case it was different. No such luck - it nearly provoked an asthma attack in me, let alone my cat. After pouring in just a few cups of litter, the entire hallway the litter box was in was covered with a fine sheen of dust. Any time the cat stepped into the litter, more plumes of dust would go up. It was a nightmare.
I stuck it out for a few weeks, and it just never seemed to get better. I was surprised that the odor control was fairly poor as well, since I thought clay litters were supposed to be great at that. After a month of testing this out, I decided to throw out the rest of the unused litter I had rather that subject my cat to any more dust storms.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nvr2amzd Had HIGH Hopes but am Very Disappointed!
I am always looking for litter for my two indoor-only cats that isn't dusty and doesn't track. I was excited to try this one, given the positive reviews and the fact that it is dust free. I'll give it points for being dust free but have to deduct points for it being highly tracking. One of my cats is a Maine Coon, which means "feathers" on the bottoms of his paws/feet. This also means he can capture and track litter easily...and, boy, does this litter track...all over my house! Even with the system of litter-catching mats I have down, he has this litter all over the place. I also worry that he may be ingesting some of it when he grooms himself. On top of all this, I have noted that the odor control of this litter is not that good...and my cats only eat chicken products (Royal Canin and Purina Pro products). I'm having to scoop out the litter box twice a day, instead of once that I usually do, in order to keep the odor down. Needless to say, I will not be buying this litter again.

I have never used this type of liter before. It is really much better for any type of cat and household. So much less dust when cleaning or adding to liter box. Better for the cat as they don't inhale the dust they raise when scratching in their box. Thank you for creating this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EvilQueen2011 Best Litter Ever!
My cats kept sneezing with other litters I've used, even ones that said dust free. Once I started using Dr. Elsey's Respiratory Relief they quit sneezing. It also clumps better than any other litter I have used and I have used A LOT! Will never use another litter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judith16 Very effective in reducing respiratory problems.
I have a cat, who has to deal with respiratory problems. The minute I switched her to Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Respiratory Relief Clumping Clay Cat Litter, her breathing problems lessened. Of course, she has problems with some other things, but no longer with her cat litter. I am most grateful for this product and I'm sure my cat is, too. It's a very heavy product to carry, but it's worth the effort. Thank you, Doctor Elsey.

I purchased this litter because my main-coon cat does not like using the litter boxes and prefers going outdoors. He sneezes a lot, so I figured he might be allergic to the dust, as am I. This litter is a bit less dusty than the wheat that I had been using, but its a very small amount of litter to be paying over $15 a box for. It's heavy because it's clay, so it's deceiving as to how much you get out of the box. Nonetheless, I will order it a second time to see how long it will last me with three cats. I also use a walnut litter, that is more bulky, thus last longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PegF Excellent litter
I purchased this litter because it is recommended for cats with respiratory issues. One of my cats has mild asthma symptoms, and I got very tired of dust associated with other litters, so I tried it. This stuff is fairly large grained, clumps rapidly and is dust free. I have tried many litters, and none can match this. I give 4 stars because it is also heavy and expensive. I do recommend it highly, though, and will continue to use it.

I have several cats, most of whom are fine using the litter boxes no matter what brand I use. However, one of them started pooping on the floor a few months back. I tried everything to no avail! I finally got around to trying this stuff and... no more problem! Don't know why, but he likes it so I love it!
