  • good product, no difference yet

I am a long time user of the original Precious Cat litter, I purchased this product to see if some of my cat's respiratory issues would be helped, as I read that litter dust can aggravate cats with existing upper respiratory conditions. I can't say that I notice much difference in her health yet, but like the original Precious Cat, it is a good quality litter. Precious Cat original wasn't very dusty to begin with to be honest, so it's hard to say if this one is less dusty. This litter may also clump slightly less hard than the original as well, but nothing problematic. Would continue to use, though. A note to Chewy, though: the box was damaged in transit (a seam came unglued), and a lot of I am a long time user of the original Precious Cat litter, I purchased this product to see if some of my cat's respiratory issues would be helped, as I read that litter dust can aggravate cats with existing upper respiratory conditions. • No Dust! Clumps Great!

    By on

3 kitty household here! One with asthma and urinary issues...which includes peeing in the bathtub if he doesn't like his litter box condition. Just started using this litter yesterday. So far all kitties are using it no problem. This litter is virtually dust free...didn't see any while putting and didn't feel any when touching to spread out. My sensitive kitty so far likes it and it clumps well as well. We shall see how it goes with time but so far I'm sold. We'll see how it hold up to smell at the 2-3 week mark. I used to use Worlds best and changed monthly cleaned daily still was pretty smelly by the end of the 3rd week.

  • Great product!

I have 2 cats one with respiratory problem and the other with asthma. I felt safe when it's mainly targeting for a respiratory problem and with good re views I decided to buy it! a lot of reviews are saying it's dust free" but the truth is not. it is dusty. but one thing I can tell you is that it's less dusty compared to other products. Maybe that's why lots of reviews came up with "dust free idea" pro: clums are hard with good odor control, light dust, symptoms got better( less coughing, no more asthma attack) con: it's CLAY based litter, it's the only thing that I'm concerned about.

  • Excellent litter

    By on

Really doesn't have dust! It has greatly improved a respiratory illness that two of my cats had, I really would like to continue using this clumping cat litter by Dr. Elsy. It works well in combination with a odor box natural spray that safe for use around your cats. I gave only four stars for only one problem, the boxes break too easy had two of a four box order get broken before they arrived, and it was a mess tried to save as much as I could from the ordering. The bags of Dr elsy's litter are not dust free like this particular brand in the box. So these I would prefer to stay with

  • Good Litter

    By on

Not a bad litter, especially since it is substantially less dusty than other brands. I have noticed the odor control isn't as strong as other brands but, expected as it is for cats with respiratory issues. I didn't notice any improvement with my cat's asthma. I did put her on homeopathic drops from the chewy website in addition to switching her to a wet food diet. Those two things have helped immensely. I did notice, as others had mentioned, that this letter tracks less. There is less litter scattered about due to the cats going in and out of the box. A little pricey but a good option.

  • Way Too Much Dust and a Waste of Money

    By on

I really wanted to like this litter, especially since I have a cat with a bad chronic upper respiratory problem that little can be done for. But, there is so much dust produced. It is all over the floor and on my furniture in the spare bedroom that I keep the litterbox in. When I would scoop it, dust would fly up all over. I can't understand all these reviews saying otherwise. I am going back to Arm & Hammer as there was no where near the amount of dust and it NEVER coated my floor and furniture with dust like this one. UGH!!!

  • Best cat litter

    By on

We only use this litter now for our 4 cats. No dust whatsoever! We used to have to clean the litterbox with a mask on because of all the dust. My cats had no problem using this litter right from the get go. One of my elderly cats digs holes in the litter with her face instead of her paws. She had awful sneezing fits and sinus issues prior to us switching to this litter. So far we notice her sinuses are less troublesome due to the lack of dust up her nose.

  • Lives up to its hype

    By on

My first time using Dr Elsey's Respiratory Relief litter has been a very positive experience. My 14 yr old cat has developed pretty severe asthma and she has been able to use this litter without difficulty, unlike her previous litter. There is no noticeable dust at all and it doesn't seem to track much. It clumps well and is easy to scoop. Although expensive, on sale at Chewy's it was a good value. Will definitely continue to use this brand.

  • Best Cat Litter

My cat was diagnosed with asthma over 6 years ago. My vet said we needed to change her litter to a low dust and unscented product. I've been using Swheat scoop but finally realized how dusty it is! I recently read about Dr. Elsey's respiratory relief litter and decided to give it a try. How fantastic! No smell and absolutely no dust! I am beyond excited and happy I made the switch. My kitty also approves too.

  • Better than the Multi-Cat Ultra (Blue Bag)

    By on

I've tried other litter brands (Oko Cat, Smart Cat) and I still come back to Precious Cat. I previously used the blue bag (Multi-Cat Ultra), but it does get a bit dusty after a while. I tried the Respiratory Relief and it lives up to its name. Almost no dust and great clumping action as expected of this brand. Highly recommended for anyone who suffers from allergies or who owns cats that suffer from respiratory issues.
