Evanger's Low Fat Vegetarian Dinner Canned Dog & Cat Food is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unethical product promotion Cats should never be fed a vegetarian diet. Promoting this is as a cat food is inappropriate. This diet sounds marginally acceptable for dogs, but cats are carnivores - period. There is no healthy way to feed a cat a plant-based diet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dogs really like this! Had to find a very low protein food for a couple of our senior shelties. They would not eat the prescription food from the vets. We are just new to this product, but they love eating this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thank you Evangers After much net searching, I found this wet food for my dog who has renal disease AND food allergies to meat based proteins. The company that makes her dry food does not make a companion wet food, so Evanger's Vegetarian is the best solution that I could find for her condition. I did not give it 5 stars because the phosphorous guaranteed analysis % is stated as a minimum, not a maximum. Her appetite has really picked up since I began adding this wet food to her dry food each meal. She obviously loves the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was/am surprised I ordered a case to move into the diet of two older golden retrievers. They don't need as much caloric intake. I was hoping for the best. I got it. They love it. I'll be ordering more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent ingredients, probably great if your dog will eat it. Purchased a case of this for my Lab, who has CRD. The appeal was the quality of ingredients, brand reputation, and that this seemed to be a lower-protein diet. However, Buddy wasn't thrilled with the taste (then again, I don't think he really seems to like sweet potato, after this experiment). By day 2, he was simply walking away from his dish. You mileage may vary - not a bad food, but not for us. Also, as obligate carnivores, I'm not entirely sure that I would have considered a vegetarian diet for my dog had I not been dealing with CRD.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from My cat loves veggies and refused to eat this. My cat is 2 and loves to eat raw or cooked veggies. I loved the idea of this product, but my boy just wont eat it. I guess he is picky. SOMETIMES he will eat it if I mix it with other foods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh Even though this is a canned product, it actually smells like veggies, not dog food. My dogs love it, especially my pug who recently was put on a low fat diet. I mix a tablespoon of this with her dry prescription food and she gobbles it down. She refused to eat her new diet prescription food so this really helped!
