Rated 1 out of 5 by jmd13 over priced, 2/3 of the can is water, 1/3 meat product
The can is mostly a watery "stew" with very little meat product. The cats wouldn't eat it (nor would the dogs). I think it's overpriced and won't purchase this product again.

by EsteroEgret This Stew is Fabulous!
We purchased this because one of our two boys has allergies. Vet testing didn't indicate the newly-discovered pea allergy, so we searched and searched for a canned food without wheat, soy or peas. We're also staying clear of chicken and beef for now. This stuff fit the bill. Plus, both of the boys LOVE the juicy sauce! Allergy boy used to lick his food then run over and lick the other ones food when he wasn't looking. So, now there's plenty of juice to keep them both happy. Also, allergy boy used to be very thirsty (from all that grooming, no doubt). That is eliminated, too. I can't wait to try new flavors ... well, my boys can't wait to try new flavors. As good as this looks, I think I'll stick with people food. Thank you, Chewy, for giving us options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ARose All around one of the best canned product for cats
First the bad news: your cats may love this so much they will devour it in seconds and look to you for seconds. My cats have never done this with any other canned food, so this was a surprise.
Now for the best news: I am a very picky label-reader and look for products without fish, fish oil, grains, or carrageenan, and having read many, many labels over the years, it's hard to find one product that has this perfect balance. In addition, most of what you can find that doesn't have these ingredients is extremely pricey.
Evangers, though, is not overpriced while being extremely healthy and delicious to my guys. It's hard to find a way to top that!

My 3 cats love this Turkey just as much as the Beef and Chicken. I would like to note, for those who have only ordered the Slow Cooked Beef or Chicken, those 2 flavors had tons of broth and LARGE CHUNKS of meat. The Slow Cooked Turkey is more like GROUND TURKEY with lots of broth ( broth ....not thick gravy)...My mom's cat has no teeth left and he was unable to eat the beef and chicken because the chunks of meat were large...he could only lick the broth ( but he loved it)......he CAN eat the turkey and he loves it as well....So, in conclusion, my 3 cats and my mom's 1 cat love the Slow Cooked Line

Rated 5 out of 5 by Islandgirl44 FOR LOW PROTEIN DIET KIDNEY PROBLEMS
Cat wouldn't eat any of prescription foods for kidney failure. Spent hours on web researching for low protein and came up with one of the Evangers that we had in house.
This stew is the only one that has 6% protein
that we have found so far. We pour a tiny bit of tuna
juice over it if she gets tired of it. I wish that they had more variety in the 6 % protein, but I love this brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by WhenPigsFly Stew? It's more like a broth...and there's A LOT of it
Careful when you open a can...half the can is filled with a broth that splashes all over the counter (and you, if you're not careful). That means there's very little meat in the can, so factor that in when you're trying to figure out if this is a bargain, even when it's on sale.
That said, 3 of my four cats like it (not wild about it, they just like it). I won't be reordering.

I thought they'd like the juice, but they pretty much ignored it. I gave it to a neighbor who insists other cats would eat it. Maybe.....................
