  • great for muscles and joints

My guy had gained some weight and wasn't moving around the way he used to and it was sad to watch. He always ate high quality food but I wanted to incorporate raw into his diet. I read online that New Zealand green mussels are a great source of natural glucosamine and chondroitin. I was happy to see that this high quality raw food contained green mussels as one of the first ingredients. Both my cats instantly loved it and their litter boxes no longer have that strong ammonia smell after they use it. The only thing I don't love, is that the bag says they will substitute lamb meat with sheep meat depending on season and availability, which I would think should effect the price or nutrition info My guy had gained some weight and wasn't moving around the way he used to and it was sad to watch. Our cats go crazy over this raw freeze-dried cat food. Been sprinkling about a 1/4 cup over their wet food as a treat and they gobble it all up. It also seems to make them less hungry through out the day. Two very happy cats.

  • Cat's New Favorite

All 7 of my cats like this food. Harrah! I like that it is good quality, and they love to eat it. It won out over even Fancy Feast. I have ordered more to keep using it. It is expensive, but it appears to be a good healthy choice, and I don't have to buy 7 different brands! I don't use as much water as suggested, but it plumps up and they finish the extra liquid as well as the food. All around, it is a great choice.

  • Our cat loves this, it is healthy, and easy to serve

First brand of freeze-dried food we tried for our cat, and she loves it. We switched from canned food for better nutritional value, and this brand contains no grains. We feed her both the chicken & venison and the chicken & lamb feast, and the cat endorses both. She seems to enjoy the higher water content, often slurping up the juices first, then eating the morsels. It is very simple to prepare, just mix, soak and serve, and the cat licks her bowl clean, no leftovers to deal with.

  • My cats say Ugh!

None of my cats would even try this food. They put their nose up at it. Even the stray would not eat it! Can't give it any stars ( had to to post this). I would like to know what others were feeding their cats before they tried this food.

  • Excellent food!

I am a mom to two beloved indoor cats, one is 6 yrs and the other 12 yrs. Both of them were used to eating various kinds of cat food, either raw, can, home-cooked, but primarily can, and absolutely never kibble. The younger one is a sickly guy, he has chronic pancreatitis, asthma, heart murmur (low grade), and has been growing his belly to the point that he's almost at 20 lbs, unfortunately. The older one, on the other hand, was always a very healthy cat, low maintenance and no issues until about a year ago. At that time, she developed a tumor on one of her joints that grew to the size of a walnut within a few weeks. She had it removed, it was benign, but soon after, she gradually began to lose her weight. A year into it and she shed about 5 pounds, which was a 1/3 of her weight. Her vet ran every possible exam, plus xray, and could not locate any issue. We are suspecting that she's developed inflammatory bowel disease, very likely due to her old age, or in the worst case, cancer. She's yet to be seen by an internist next month. And so, with all that being said, it IS a challenge to find high quality, commercial cat food that will meet the needs of the both cats. While this food has not triggered any issues with my younger one and his pancreatitis (three 1-week long emergency stays, and you start to watch what he eats, like a hawk), it has definitely helped calm down the IBD issues for the older one. Her stools gradually turned into something unrecognizable, and without going into any further graphic details - Feline Natural Chicken & Lamb food was the first and only cat food, so far, that was able to help her condition. She no longer vomits and has diarrhea on a daily basis. Her stools are almost back to its somewhat normal shape, color, and smell. While the food is actually pretty pricey, I am happy that there is something out there that will help her and myself to ease her daily pains and troubles. Needless to say, I love that she devours it and never leaves a single piece behind. I will continue buying this food for as long as I can, because it is the healthiest I've seen on the market, without all the unnecessary and unhealthy fillers, chemicals, grains, and veggies, that most other brands put in, just to gain on the volume of the food. Thank you for selling this stuff! … more

Both of my cats love this food. It is a bit hard to rehydrate, so I crush the pieces with hammer first and then pour water- works like magic. Great ingredients, great service from Chewy, as always.

Lamb seems to be a meat that some cats simply won't eat, but I have one who loves it, so it is great to have it in such a good quality food.

Other cats may like, but my 2 refused it. Was excited to get and planned on getting other flavors. Need to see if an open package can be returned. Expensive!
