The chicken and venison food is the healthiest variety among all Feline Natural freeze-dried foods. The ingredients are great and it is the ONLY one out of all 4 foods that has the right protein and carb percentage. This one has 60% protein but the lamb version has less than 40% protein. Carb percentage for the chicken and venison variety is around 2.6%, and is very appropriate for a cat's diet. I feed my cats a homemade raw diet but occasionally I forget to make the next batch before running out, so I feed freeze-dried food in between. • great food!

You can't beat the all meat (no veg, fruits, grains, starches, seeds) ingredients and my cat started yelling for it as soon as I opened it (not usual behavior). It's expensive, but it you want the best for your kitty, this is certainly one of the best.

  • Cats love it

I love feeding my cats this healthy food from New Zealand. I do wish they would replace the gmo Canola oil with fish oil or Coconut oil. They all seem to love it, but unfortunately I have to play favorites because of the price.

My girls are raw meat Tonkinese but occasionally I give them a treat. This is one of the VERY FEW treats that they never seem to get tired of which is almost amazing. I Wish the bags could be made to better protect the freeze dried pellets so fewer would be crushed into a powder before I open the bag, but as long as they continue to love them, I will continue to buy them

  • Excellent for cats and convenient to serve

    By on

First freeze-dried food we tried for our cat, and she loves it. We switched from canned food because it contains no grains, and has better nutritional value. We feed her both the chicken & venison and the chicken & lamb feast, and the cat endorses both. She seems to enjoy the higher water content, often slurping up the juices first, then eating the morsels. It is very easy to prepare, just mix, soak and then serve, and the cat licks her bowl clean, no leftovers to deal with.

  • Very good food

This seems to be a very good food. One of my cats loves it, the other won't touch it. But, as it is so healthy I am happy with one eating it. The cat that likes it is my younger cat; I think the older cat is more set in her ways as to what she will eat and doesn't like to explore new flavors of food.

  • Our cats love this

    By on

This food may be expensive, but my picky cats really love it. I have fed raw in the past, but I wasn't sure how they would feel about reconstituted freeze-dried. As long as the water is really warm they'll scarf it right up. I've done trial and error to figure out what consistency and amount they like best. The directions make it too watery for ours. I also sprinkle some dried over the top before putting the bowl down, which they seem to love. Overall, expensive product but worth it for our cats.

  • WOW!

I have two cats, and the older one has been having digestion problems for the past months, causing her frequent diarrhea. Her vet has not been able to find the cause, so I decided to take the matter in my own hands and switch them to the healthiest cat food that I could find. Meaning, no fillers, grains, starch, chemicals, etc., but rather top quality ingredients. I did my research online and FelineNatural's came the closest to what I was looking for, so I gave it a try and ordered two bags, Chicken & Venison and Chicken & Lamb flavors. The moment the shipment arrived, it took me about 10 minutes before I served it and before it soaked enough in warm water. I put their food bowls on the ground, walked away for a few minutes and by the time I came back to the kitchen, not only that the bowls were completely empty, but there was not a tiniest speckle of the food left in them! For a second I questioned if I even served them food, how clean the bowls were. Now, to the more important part... my 12 year old cat with the digestion problems started getting better! Her diarrhea still occurs, but much less frequently than before (used to be a few times per week). This is the only food I feed them now, and while it is pricey, it is worth having that peace of mind knowing that they eat healthy. The biggest problem that I have now is keeping this food in stock! I order it weekly, as I am still trying to estimate how much they will eat. FelineNatural did a good job with both of the flavors and thank you for providing such high-quality food, that does not compare to anything else out there on the market. … more
