Hard for me to rate this item. Kitty would rather chew on it than be brushed. She was abandoned so she has some trust issues. Moving in the right direction, but extensive brushing relegated to the future. The glove itself is very stiff and difficult to form over her body. The thumb is a disaster. It points in the opposite direction of the glove. Have seen others that are more expensive, but worth the price because they resolve the issues mentioned.

  • cat loves the glove!

Purchased this for a feral cat who lives at the recylcling center. . he is just starting to come around and entertaining the idea of being domesticated. When the cat is nearby and my boyfriend puts the glove on. . . the cat jumps on his lap. Just because you live in a dump doesn't mean you don't need grooming!

All cats wondering "uh, what is that, and what are you doing"? Then they all love the glove! It takes off all their loose hair, and is easily cleaned off the glove. Thanks!

  • This glove is too large for a woman's hand.

This glove is too large for a woman's hand. Well mine at least. I purchased the smallest glove but it would fit a large man's hand and therefore twirls around on mine. I don't know if it actually works?

  • Perfect for long-fur kitty

My long-haired cat loves this glove. If I stop grooming too soon, he will grab at it with both paws.

Long hair kitty doesn't mind being stroked and lots of hair collected so lots less hair balls.

Nicely made and removes hair well. My kitten was skeptical, but finally relented.

  • Both my cats love it !

    By on

Both my cats love this product. Didn't know how to introduce it to them because cats can be finicky. One is 5 months old so I started with her, just one stroke every day, with the glove folded, not on my hand yet. That lasted for about 2 weeks and now she just loves it! I put it on and she comes arunnin'. So cute. My second cat is 2 & 1/2 so I let him see me with her for about a week and when he jumped up and started the mashed potatoes, i gently started with him for one or two strokes for one week and now he loves it! Great for grooming, and they just purr away!!

  • Disappointing

My 15 year old long-hair Tortie doesn't like being brushed these days, so I have searched for a kinder, more gentle grooming aid for her. This glove seemed a good option--if it worked. Unfortunately, this doesn't. The fit of the glove is uncomfortable on the hand, and the plastic nubs that are supposed to gather up your pet's fur seem to have been sewn on out of place. While the wrist band is nice and snug, the mitten construction allows the rest of the glove to slip around on the hand. While so far none of this impacts your pet, it makes the job of grooming harder for you. As for doing the job it is advertised to do, the Love Glove Grooming Mitt fails. I can pet my long-hair cat with a bare hand and remove as much, if not more fur than I can using the Love Glove. The nubs are just too small to really get down inside your pet's coat. It picks up some surface hair, but those tiny nubs just don't go deeply enough below the surface fur to actually groom your pet. While I had hoped my cat would respond to my using this item in the same way she responds to normal petting, well, she doesn't. Apparently, she finds the glove only slightly less irritating than her other, more traditional groomers. I should say that before I used the item, I gradually introduced it into my cat's routines, allowing her to smell it and touch it, sleep on it as she wished. I placed it close by at play time and meal time, so she had grown accustomed to its presence before I attempted to groom her with it. That eliminated any fear factor and I was certain that there would be no problem with the item's scent or how it appeared and felt to her. She just doesn't like it. Or maybe she tolerates it only slightly more than her other groomers, but since the Love Glove doesn't really do the job, it isn't worth irritating the poor girl with it. … more
