  • Four Paws is going to be ordered again - I liked it so much

    By on

Four Paws scratching post held up well during the shipping - however the ball attached to the post lasted all of 30 seconds in the first minute of cat playtime. My cats are tough on dangly things. But all three of them like this post - in fact I'm going to get a second one for the OTHER side of my bed (it saves my bed from being their scratching post). Thanks for making such an easy to assemble post that should last for quite some time.

  • Kitten loves this post

    By on

We found a kitten when it was about 2 days old. We raised him with KMR cat formula. We purchased two scratching posts because we were not sure which, if any, he would take to. This 5 week old kitten loved both of these scratching posts (I will post this same review for the other post). We cannot tell which he likes better but he is all over them and not scratching on the furniture.

  • Not a good idea.

    By on

I'm not thrilled with this. I adopted a cat a couple of months ago and I won't declaw her so I need a few scratching posts. Since I live on a fixed income I thought I'd start with this one. I'm not mechanically inclined and found the instructions weren't very clear. Once together I was very happy and put it out. The first time my cat used it it fell over and she is afraid of it now. It has no weight on the bottom so when she pushes, it falls over. She weights 7 pounds. Also the post itself isn't very sturdy. I actually placed a table leg on it to hold it down and put catnip on it and I hope my cat gets brave. I'll have to save up for a good one.

  • Cats love it

This is a cheap and simple scratching post. It took all of 1 minute to assemble, just make sure the large washer is used under the head of the screw that goes through the bottom base. My cats love it !

  • Base too light

    By on

My cats love scratching it, but it's constantly tipping over because the base is too light. I try to keep it tucked under my couch.

  • Has become a cat favorite!

    By on

I bought this scratching post to replace one my cats have done a number on in their downstairs bedroom. My husband set it up in the kitchen to let them get used to it, and our youngest cat loves it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because she was able to chew through the string which the play ball is attached to within 4 days of having the post. We knew she would eventually since she has done so on any toy with an attached dangly play item. But, 4 days seemed rather quick! However, I will be buying a second post for the bedroom. The post is a good size, and doesn't require much room.

  • It's alright

My cats like it and want to use it but the screw you attach the post threw goes threw the bottom. Had to ado a washer to it so it will stay. That and they took the ball off in under 2 min.

  • product needs improvement

    By on

The bottom of the cat scratching pole is wrapped in carpet like the base. When my kittens scratch the bottom of the pole, the carpet material is starting to pull and kittens claws are getting tangled. The whole scratching pole should be covered in the white rope. It lasts much longer.

  • My Cat loves this scratching post!

    By on

My cat is having a great time with this scratching post. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because within a weeks time she ripped off the ball that hangs from the top of the post. I tied a spring toy in its place and all is right in her world again!

  • you get what you pay for

    By on

its cheaper quality but since I did not pay much for it I should not expect as much. The rope is not glued down all over so its pulling apart after just a days use and the ball was broke off in the first 5 min. I will spend more on my next one.
