The given chart provides a good place to start, but determining the correct amount of food for your pet depends upon your evaluation of your pet's overall performance on the amount of food consumed along with any treats given. Spayed or neutered cats may require up to 25% less food. Kittens weighting less than four pounds and/or younger than six weeks should be fed free choice. Two to four times more food may be required for kittens, gestating cats, and nursing cats.

Transition Instructions

If you are currently experiencing digestive upset or loose stools, switch to the new food immediately.

If you are switching from another brand of food and currently have solid stools, start with a 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the old food. Move to a 50% mix once two solid stools are produced. Continue to 75% new food and 100% new food in the same manner.

If you are switching from one Fromm food to another, a transition period is typically not needed.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 167 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy I have to agree with Dre7... our little guy had GI issues that required a probiotic. My husband bought the game bird and the problems we were having cleared up. We had been using the Fromm Chicken, which I'm sure is just as excellent...just not for Louis. January 15, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fromm Game bird for cats. My cats love all the Fromm dry cat foods. Game bird seems to be a favorite. In the morning, they come and get me to fill their bowls and then jump in to munch, sometimes knocking the scoop from my hands. I like Fromms because it's grain free, made in Wisconsin and a healthy choice for them. Their coats gleam and are very soft. January 4, 2017
Rated 4 out of 5 by X shape is good for kittens I am pleased with this food...glad it's grain free and not fish...the size and shape are easier for kittens who still are teething...it's a healthy choice from a well respected company...my kittens do eat it daily, but it's not their favorite dry food at this time... Rated 1 out of 5 by smells like rancid potato chips I am suprised at all the great reviews. Sure the cats will eat it, but look at the ingredients. PEAS are listed 3 times in the first 10 ingredients. (pea protein, pea flour, peas) There are 3 listings of peas before the chicken is listed in this product. And peas are listed again, a 4th time, right after the chicken. That means there is a LOT OF PEAS in this product. when did you ever hear of cats needing to eat PEAS? it seems peas are the new 'corn and grain' when it comes to pet food. the reason they list it as pea PROTEIN and pea STARCH and Pea FLOUR as well as just PEAS, is because if they listed peas (and any part of peas) as ONE ITEM it would be the first on the list of ingredients. The packaging is lovely and because it LOOKED expensive and nicely packaged I tried it. After a week or so the cats started vomiting.... I immediately changed food, and have no more vomiting. It just doesn't work for us. And the smell of the food is like old potatoe chips. I don't want my cats food to smell like chips! November 12, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bag had a hole I suppose it happened in transit the cats are still eating the food so I guess it's ok. December 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 out of 5 cats agree! This purchase was a step outside the box for my "love the same bland thing" cats. However, all but one of my ferals absolutely love it right away. She is finally munching down as well but it took her almost two weeks to adjust. (This from a cat that was starving and would eat anything when we took her in!). They clean their bowls every day so I am thrilled. December 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by She loves it! I decided to switch my cat's food after doing research on her previous food (which is presumed to be an excellent brand) and disliking what I found. She is very picky so I purchased the small bag to be sure that she liked it. She loves it! I'm happy that I decided to switch her to Fromm and to find a new food (that she loves!) from a company that uses good practices. December 16, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Little guy won't eat it I was really excited to switch to this cat food. It has everything I have been looking for in a quality food... too bad my little kitty won't eat it. He won't even eat other food that has touched this food. :( December 19, 2016
