Rated 5 out of 5 by Mona13 My 13yo cat loves this food & has never looked better since we started using it.
I searched for quite a while for a better food product for all of my animals (3 dogs & 1 cat). Fromm uses high quality ingredients and I can be sure of what I am getting. All of my fur kids love the food and never looked better.
I especially like the fact that the caloric values are given along with the list of ingredients. This makes it much easier to manage weight control for my seniors, as well as for the younger dog.

My cat is a mature cat that lays around a lot. This cat food is for cats that does just that. I did research on healthy cat foods and this was one of them that was recommended so I am happy to give it to her.

by Santanarocks Re: Fromm Holistic Mature Dry Cat Food
I use this dry food mixed with my Wysong Epigen for my kitties as a treat only! I don't believe in dry food as a staple and only use it if they've eaten their breakfast which consists of either a premium wet food or a fresh frozen raw food. This is only given once a day if they finish their meal in the a.m.
I have no idea why cats love dry food. Not enough moisture in it to sustain their health so I'm very careful in how I use it and sometimes even make it a game and have them chase it. I think Fromm and Wysong do the best job with their dry food. I use the Uretic by Wysong for one of my cats who almost died from a UT problem. You have to make sure your cats drink plenty of water. They can't get enough water if they just have dry food so incorporate some of the many premium brands of wet that Chewys offers.

by Fosterpupmom great ingredients based on labeling
My senior cat was recently diagnosed with pancreatic issues. He is overweight but otherwise healthy. He LOVED his old food but it was too high in calories, so we tried Fromm gold holistic mature dry cat food, supplemented with a canned food now and then. He really seems to like this, I was worried he would not due to the fact that it is a lower calorie senior food. So far so good, no more vomiting and littler box habits haven't been impacted by the change. To early to tell for sure, but so far we are all happy with this purchase.

Having a 9 y.o. rescue and a 13 y.o. ragdoll, I was hoping to find a dry food to transition them too in the future as a supplement to their wet food. Both eagerly gobbled down their new meal, and continued to so for more than just the first couple days. The kibble size is more like a small pea, which would probably appeal to those kitties with dental problems. My furry friends don't have this issue, so I'm hoping that the smaller kibbles still clean their teeth to some degree. I don't hear that much crunching , so I suspect they are simply swallowing most of the kibbles. Obviously, they are smaller and easier to digest, so this appears to be a great product for the mature set. The ingredients appear to be chosen in the usual Fromm fashion. I had no issues with the transition. Mission accomplished! Thanks Fromm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1012 Good choice
This was a new product for finicky kitty. It did take him a couple of days to take an interest in it; however, he eats it very well now. The kernels are small so may be a good choice for a cat needing that...the calorie count is 422kcal/cup. This is the only reason I graded a 4 star. For me, that was a little high, but may be good for feline that doesn't eat well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by catlover my cats won't eat it
Fromm is an excellent product I'm sure. Except that my 4 cats won't eat it. So whatever the flavor base is, they don't like it. I tried mixing it with food they like and they won't eat it. I've tried it in several combinations to entice them to eat it, but they won't touch it. So there you have it. If you're looking to control calories in a fat senior cat, this food is not for you. High calorie but lower in protein. I originally bought it to entice them to eat the other lower calorie foods I bought. They'll eat those but won't eat this one. Oh Well!
