Description

Shedding is a problem most cats face and tends to be heaviest in early Spring and early Fall, but indoor cats often shed year-round. Up to 2/3 of the hair a cat sheds is ingested during self grooming, resulting in hairballs that are messy, stressful to the cat and the cause of potentially serious problems. Every loose hair brushed is one less to swallow.

Key Benefits

  • Designed for use with coats shorter than 2 inches, reduces shedding up to 90%
  • Stainless steel deShedding edge reaches deep beneath your cat’s short topcoat to gently remove undercoat and loose hair, FURejector button cleans and removes loose hair from the tool with ease
  • Effectively reduces hairballs, keeping your cat healthier and happier, guaranteed to reduce shedding better than any brush, rake or comb
  • Recommended by veterinarians to help prevent dangerous hairballs from developing
  • Patented technologies, designed by a groomer for professional results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great find We have an ancient cat that can't groom herself anymore and the fine metal comb we were using just pulled at the tangles. We were cutting them out. During a regular vet visit, the vet tech demonstrated the Furminator, which thins out the hair and tangles much more efficiently and with less aggravation for puss. The young lady told us we could get it online to save money. We received it in just two days and it really makes it much easier to keep the cat tangle-free.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good brush, but not a miracle product Reading the reviews and viewing pictures of massive balls of hair that people got off of their cat really swayed me into investing in a furminator. My cat has never liked being brushed, and I read quite a few reviews saying that this brush made their cat love grooming. She doesn't hate it, but she still will not hold still for long enough to get in a full brushing session. It seems to work well for the few strokes I can get in before she runs away, but it won't necessarily "change" your cat. I'm glad I did not buy this at full price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more hair balls! I recently bought this brush because my indoor cat started having issues with hair balls. I should note that I already owned a brush that I used regularly on him. I was amazed at how much fur came off the first time I used the FURminator! His coat is so much softer and shinier now. We've been hair-ball-free since we started using it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one REALLY IS LIKE THEY SAY!!!!! I have a 17 year old, American Shorthair cat. She has diabetes and is slightly arthritic. To say the least, she's sensitive and too old to clean herself as much as she should be. I honestly tought she had some sort of problem or shedding issue but it turns out I just didn't have a Furminator. Once I got it, and took it out of the package, I used it. There was LITERALLY so much fur that needed to be removed, that I just let it fall to the floor. When I was done, it looked like the surroundings of a barber's chair! I vacuumed the place up, just amazed. The REAL amazement came when I saw my cat's behavior. SHE IS HAPPY! SHE WAS HAPPY! They are right, everything this product claims to be on its commercial, informercial and advertisements is true. I'm the most discriminating possible customer, bear in mind, so this level of belief in a product is rare. I stand by my 5/5 rating on this, though. A solid five.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best at removing hair Bought this brush for full price at a chain store before I discovered Chewy. I was very hesitant to pay so much for a cat brush but wow does thing work. Originally had a rubber bristle brush that did nothing. My cats don't have super long hair, but they really like to keep themselves clean so they suffer from hairballs. I am amazed at all the hair that comes off after a few minutes of brushing. This brush seems to really get at the undercoat. I was afraid the metal brush might hurt them but they purr and seem to like being brushed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I knew about these sooner I was searching for a brush or tool that would thin my cats hair because it was getting mats. The FURminator kept coming up but from it's name I thought it was going to be like the Flobie and you would have to connect a vacuum to it so I kept ignoring the sites. I finally clicked on one and watched a Youtube video and I couldn't wait to use it on my cats. IT'S AMAZING! The only vacuum you need is to collect the mass amounts of cat hair that the brush takes out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this, it has helped so much with the shedding. A friend recommended this for our cats. It really has helped with all the shedding from our four cats. I am hopeful this will also reduce the amount of hairballs we have been contending with. So far, so good!!!!
