After trying the chicken pate Halo Spot cat food for our 4 cats with success, I decided to try the shredded chicken. Only one cat will eat it so it was not well received. I'll stick with the pate.

  • Not Shredded False Advertising

There is no shredded chicken in this can. It is PATE. It's false advertising. I thought they canned the wrong item at first. I'll buy a better brand that has real shredded chicken pieces. Cats will eat but not thrilled with it.

  • Cats give it thumbs up!

Finicky cat that avoids wet food likes this food. Wasn't sure because I'm a regular buyer of the Halo Spots Stew type. If cats like it - that's all that matters. Halo is a good product so will try other shredded varieties.

  • 4 out of 4 cats do not like

    By on

I thought with a combo of pate and shredded chicken that all four of my cats would love this food since two like pate and 2 like shredded varieties. Well, none of them liked this particular brand. I tried mixing it with food that they like and they still wouldn't eat it. This is a first for me as I have been buying from Chewy for many many years and have never had to return food. They gladly refunded my purchase price. Love Chewy but Halo cat food? not so much.

Good quality food, cats like it. It says shredded. But it's not, it's a pate.

  • Great cat food (Halo Spot's Choice)

    By on

My cat loves this food. If there are leftovers I just stir it around and re-serve it and my cat will still eat it. Got this on auto re-order because I don't have this food around here. I will not have to go to a store and carry it around several times. This will come to my door monthly. Benefit to me and my cat. Love it!!!

  • "Shredded"

The cats like it, but not sure why they call it shredded because it is more of a pate.

  • Not shredded

    By on

My cats do well on Halo so I thought I would offer them a new texture..shredded meat. What a disappointment. This is not shredded but rather ground and mushy. No different from the stew version in texture...just no veggies. Cats still liked it.

  • Cats even recognize the can

    By on

I feed them Innova & Halo's Spot Stew. If an unopened can of Spot's Stew is on the counter, they will knock it off in an attempt to open it! If they see the can in my hand, they go crazy. My cats come from all different ethnic minorities; Two ferals that were tamed, one found in a Vegas dumpster, one dumped when he was 6 weeks old by his mother who traveled two blocks to my house, two abandoned cats, and two offspring. They all love the Spots Stew.

  • Gotta love Halo

    By on Top 500 Contributor

My 5 cats should be reviewing not me. They all gobble Halo with no problem. The Stew has peas that they won't eat so the shredded is a good alternative.
