Rated 4 out of 5 by RockyNM Kibbles not too big.
It's hard to find affordable grain-free kibbles for cats, but it's a bonus when the kibbles are bite-sized and not too large for easy crunch and consumption. This Halo brand cat food is loved by my three furry friends and it is a pleasure to hear them crunch into the perfectly shaped bits and eventually walk away licking their chops, satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jean Halo grain free dry cat food
I have 4 cats, aged 1-12 years old. I have been looking for a grain free dry cat food to keep all of them happy but not gain weight! I've mixed this with the metabolic food they've been eating, and they seem to love it. Now will watch their weight on it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizzy Kittens love their Chewy food.
My kittens love their Chewy food. They were having trouble eating Friskies (to big bites and hard texture). I have to watch their dish, the food disappears so fast.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ljay I bought this as a back-up food for an older cat who was recently diagnosed with kidney insufficiency because of the lower phosphorous levels.
My cat not only won't eat it, she kinds of makes a face and backs away. None of the other cats seem to be interested, and at least two of them will eat anything. Sorry, I had higher hopes for it. I'm going to try it out on some semi-ferals, because it appears it will not be eaten at my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KathyT73 They sing when they eat this stuff
I'm trying to keep my 3 kitties away from the filler and additive laden store brands. I recently switched from Blue Buffalo to Halo Hearty Chicken after I noticed a couple of my kitties showing signs of digestive stress. The 3rd kitty has to stay away from carrageenan commonly found in cat food, because it causes him to vomit. This food has all the ingredients that I was looking for in a quality food, without the fillers and additives found in many other brands. The best part is, I get to listen to a lovely chorus of hums as my kitties gobble this food up. My one concern is how quickly they scarf this food. I mean, clean bowls scarfing. They used to nibble a little and walk away with other brands. Now I feel like I'm watching a pie eating contest. The key here will be to make sure they're not being over-fed. Especially since indoor cats typically need less calories than cats allowed outdoors. I may get pummeled in my sleep by 3 Halo addicts, but I know they're getting excellent nutrition and that they really love the stuff. And when my babies are happy, Momma is happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Daisy only issue is the closure
We like to give our cats a variety of food during the day. They don't like wet food, one has issues with seafood and we stick with grain free for overall health reasons. We like Fromm's but they only have 2 varieties of dry food that are grain free and doesn't contain seafood. We feed them something different for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we needed a lunch flavor. Halo's Grain Free Hearty Chicken had some good reviews online and the cats seem to enjoy eating it. The only problem is the closure on top: it's like a zip lock but the seal eventually stops working and you need to use a binder clip or something else to keep it sealed. Other than that, I'd recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WileyJake Outstanding Results
I'm new to Halo products after feeding a lifetime of felines varying 'supermarket brands.' Our two indoor cats, six and nine years old, are not finicky eaters and are healthy and active. One, in particular, had infrequent incidents of indigestion, loss of appetite and throwing up that would last a couple of days and then not reoccur for weeks or months. I started using Spot's Stew, both wet and dry grain free variants approximately six months ago. Both cats took to the new diet like my family takes to Ruth's Chris Steakhouses. We've had no further incidents of digestive problems. Coats are glossy and both cats radiate health and energy. Any movement toward the laundry room where we feed them usually results in a 'stampede' that can be heard all over the house. Needless to say we are very satisfied customers and will continue to include Halo products in the diet for our cats in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CindyK Substitute for VERus
My kids had been eating VERus for years and the reason I liked it was because it had cranberry in it and helped with the constant UTI issues the kids had. VERus stopped supplying to Chewy - so their representative suggested I try Halo. It doesn't have cranberry, so I'll have to look for a substitute that does have one, but in a pinch this worked and the kids gobbled it up.
