I tested the 3lb bag on both of my cats, who have very different feeding styles and preferences. I was hesitant because Halo's wet food doesn't impress my cats...possibly because they smell like over cooked peas. But I am so impressed with this product. I have tried everything from Natures Variety to Blue Buffalo to some obscure brands. Nothing against them, they are great, but this product is the ultimate combination of excellent ingredients, affordability and cat appreciation. Not to mention that it is neither boring nor overly appetizing so my voracious eater doesn't regurgitate and my modest eater doesn't go on strike.
The kibble smell appetizing and are shaped like small round disks, light brown to ochre colored. I like the fact that the tuna is lower on the ingredients list, indicating that there is less of it. It is "meal" free and the bag is perfect for storing the food. It is a nice thick plastic bag with a sturdy ziplock closure. Excellent all around. I look forward to trying their other flavors.

My cat could eat this cat food all day, if I let him. I like the natural ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda65 I have older cats and I was using Blue sensitive formula as some of my cats were spitting up. Blue did not help. I tried Halo stew and problem solved.
My cats love the food and l will be using this product from now on. It agrees with even my most sensitive cats tummies. You cannot find this product at Petsmart. I love Chewy and all the products they offer. You cannot find better prices and delivery right to my door.

I cannot express how much I love this cat food and the Halo line in general. I tell all of my friends with pets to buy their food. I was worried about switching my cats old food for this because he is such a picky eater, I tried numerous different brands and he just acted indifferently towards them. My cat treats this food like its crack. Its amazing how much he likes it, I like that it smells and looks like real food. And its hard to believe the difference it has made for him. His coat is so shiny and soft, he hasn't had one fur ball since switching over, his chronic ear infections went away, and he easily maintains a healthy weight. I highly suggest purchasing this food, and I love how much cheaper it is on Chewy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SophieC My Siamese cat doesn't yurk it up
I've spent two years narrowing down what my Siamese cat's tummy can handle. Remarkably, he doesn't yurk this up even though he *does* vomit other Halo formulas. He does best on very high protein foods, which doesn't translate to "grain free" or even "high protein"; it means the foods with first ingredients that are carbs don't work for him at all (for cats that includes peas, potatoes, wheat, corn, lentils, etc.)
My Siamese cat also consistently doesn't tolerate preserved chicken fat in dry food, despite being fine with chicken in wet foods. Even though this has pea protein, oats, and pearled barley and a carbohydrate level of 32.1%, *and* chicken fat is the eighth ingredient, he doesn't regurgitate it.
Note: Dry kibble does require a carbohydrate binder to keep the pieces together. Orijen's carbohydrate level runs at about 18% across the board of all their formulas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyAccidents I tried everything and failed before Spot's Stew
I got my cat at age 3 and she has had a stomach issues all her life. She's had numerous workups at the vet with the same conclusion: sensitive digestive tract. So, for a number of years I bought prescription cat food which would work for a few months then the problems came back. Then I'd switch to rice, chicken breast and carrots for a couple of months. That would work awhile and then back to the prescription food. This went on for 4 or 5 years. Then I switched to a different prescription food and it was the same thing all over again. Prescription food for a few months, rice, chicken breast & carrots for a couple of months but I always ended up with a cat in digestive distress. In desperation about 3 years ago I tried Halo Sensitive formula. My cat's now 15 and never been better - no more stomach issues. Wish I'd tried it years ago.
