Rated 5 out of 5 by Well-Received By Our Pride - All Of 'Em! As is customary for this brand: passes the taste and texture test. Picked up a can while shopping the local natural food store - a new flavor, wondered if kitties would give their nod of approval. As a result, purchased a case earlier this month. Am being frugal with it so they do not grow tired of the new delightful taste tickler. Am serving it up as their special treat. Mostly, served up when we come back from anywhere. I had to inform them that an outing to and from the mailbox does not count although when the graze boxes arrive, I will be serving up this special food. It is on the soft side of the pates. I have one half of the pride that is always hesitant when this food is offered; the aroma, apparently, is so enticing that they give it a lick and then they just eat it all right up. The other day I added their krill supplement to this and I did not even need to wash their plates! That's somewhat a rarity for that to happen with each of them. I used to feed them on the same large platter, but 4/5 of them do not like their whiskers touching anything when they eat. As they grew and their whiskers grew too - - big kitties, judging by their whiskers length. So, yes, I have a couple of rotating stacks of kitty dishes. Chief cook and bottle washer here, signing off. July 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yes, the veggies are a little weird.... ...but the cats eat it anyway. Sometimes they save it for later, but everything gets eaten. Strange cats, maybe? July 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent quality, but too many veggies in too big chunks. I have to pick the veg chunks out after the cats had their first run. If I do not pick out the vegetables then about 1/3 of a can is wasted. I took some pictures to illustrate the progression. There need to be fewer chunks and the chunks need to be smaller. Rated 5 out of 5 by My cat loves spots stew My pet store discontinued spots stew and pate and Cuddles was not happy! I'm so happy that Chewy has it, and very reasonably priced too. May 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very moist My cats liked it however they left the peas behind just like they do with the other Halo varieties. April 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by The cats love this, but... The only thing my cats don't like is the peas and carrots in this food. I mean, cats are carnivores and don't naturally eat veggies. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Approved by Finicky Cats I feed our two cats only the highest quality food but waste a lot of money because they either don't like the first can or else get turned off after I've bought a whole case. They dove right into the first cans of Halo Spot's Stew (both Succulent Salmon and Wholesome Chicken) and have been cleaning their bowls for several weeks. They'll even eat the carrot pieces (but not the peas). They like the soft consistency of Spot's Stew in spite of refusing to eat any other paté style brands. I have high hopes they will continue to love this food. Many thanks to Halo for making canned food my finicky eaters love! January 9, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by This product has changed....for the worse :( This was actually the only wet food that my cat would eat. He would not touch any of the other Halo flavors but loved this Salmon version. He is very picky in general. Because of that I buy this food all of the time. I recently purchased 3 cases of the 5.5oz cans from Chewy, and every single can is the consistency of soup. It will not even hold it's shape in the food bowl. Because it is so runny,my cat will not touch it. Sadly I am out about $50 because I assumed the formula would not change, however every single can basically has the same consistency. It basically cat "chowder" now and not a pate food. The only non liquid portion of this product is the vegetables, which I previously had to mash up for my cat. Sadly I can no longer recommend this product. The original formula was great, but my cat will simply not eat a "soup". :( January 28, 2014
