My very picky cats like this food when I add water. It's a very thick solid pate which is fine because I prefer to add my own moisture. When other pates are drained of their liquid and gelatin, there isn't much left. This food is well tolerated by my IBS cat.

All three of my cats refuse to eat this food. They turn their noses up and walk away. I was hoping they would like it since they like the Hills grain free dry food, but unfortunately they do not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JNece Weird consistency
My cats seem to like it which was #1, one cat more than the other. I like that it's grain-free, good for digestion and gives them an overall healthy source of minerals & veggies. However, the consistency is rather mushy and difficult to come off my spoon when time to feed them. It takes 12 taps on the side of their bowl to come off, and if they leave some in there for later the food dries up so quickly that they don't bother going for a second helping. I may order again but I would order instead if two cases of it, maybe a case of venison or turkey instead. Hope this helps!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Charlie17 Walked away from their bowls...
Our cats have been on a restricted diet to assist with weight loss/weight management. For that reason, we do not leave food out for between meal snacking. This morning, I was awakened with their mewing as usual and opened two cans of the new Roasted Chicken Grain Free Chicken Recipe cat food. They were really excited until I set the food down. They sniffed it, took a few licks and both walked away. I have never seen them do this! One hour later, about half of one cat's food remains and the other's bowl is 3/4 full. These are cats that always clean their bowls in a matter of minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vicki34 This has low phosphorus levels which is good for my cat with kidney disease
It has been difficult to find food that my 14-1/2 yr.old cat with stage 3 kidney disease will eat. He has been eating this and the canned roasted turkey flavor for months and he likes them very much. However, when his appetite is low I have had to supplement with dry food or Fancy Feast creamy broths to stimulate his appetite and increase his weight. I would give this 5stars, but I would prefer more fat content and no dextrose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by beachmamma5 This is a high quality canned cat food.
My cat refused to eat this canned food, but that had nothing to do with the flavor or quality of the food. I didn't realize it would be a pate. My cat will only eat canned food which is made with meat shreds (preferably poultry), vegetables, and gravy. This food was the chicken she loves. It had the vegetables she loves. It just wasn't the texture she loves. She turns her nose up at all pates. Overall, this food seemed to be a good quality canned cat food. I would recommend it to someone whose cat will eat the pate-type of food. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by AdriaTee My cat LOVES it!
When I first took my cat home, I started buying this when I was changing his diet because of issues with his other food. This is the only flavor he'll eat from this brand. His stomach finally settled and now he's happier and healthier than ever. Every cat will not like the same foods. Some will outright reject it and some will beg for more. I went through A LOT of flavors before coming to this one and I'm glad I found one my cat enjoys :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by 3catsownme Two of 3 cats like it
Two of my cats like it, the 3rd one not so much. I have a picky cat who's also recently diagnosed with CKD. She doesn't care for this any time I put it down. The other 2 eat it very happily though - they have no issues with it and dig right in.
