Rated 4 out of 5 by Vicki My cats love this.
My cats love this food. The food doesn't have a huge amount of protein, which you don't want if you have older cats. It does have a lot of far, which has made my cats to gain weight. It would probably be best not to free- feed this, unless you can spend time playing with your cats to keep them from gaining weight.

I'm done spending $50 plus for a bag of cat food, all 7 cats like this food, nobody barfs and I feel I'm feeding them well, I usually mix Hills with canned Fancy Feast or Friskies, they all look good .

Rated 5 out of 5 by GinnieDK Healthy food for my two cats!
My cats are siblings, with two entirely different appetites. One - 11 lbs, will eat any and all foods. Her sib, 7 lbs, is the pickiest cat and basically refuses foods until she almost starves. Picky cat eats this food, stays healthy, and the vet approves the result. I really hope Hills continues this line...it's the only one I've had luck with!
PS: Chewy.com delivered, on-time to my door. My new favorite vendor!

by PurrLHarbor Cronic Throwing Up or Watery Stools? This is the solution
Have an Abbysinian female that when she turned 3 her stools became watery, bloody, weight loss, and she looked and smelled horrid. Had to confine her, litter box was turned into paper litter that had to be cleaned 7 to 10 times a day....butt area grew huge, puckered and stinky. She had to be hosed off sometimes 3 times a day...couldnt really dry the area for the pain she had. This went on for 4 years, I slowed it with a diet of cooked chicken and bread balls, it even looked almost normal but stringy. Tried different things for years, when I added this...majic....no more watery bloody stinky mess. Stools will never be the correct width but she has a normal, non raw butt. Still add chicken and bread balls to the diet for the extra protein. But her long lived problem solved. Cats need meat, bone, liver diet...not grains, by products, peas, fruit etc. They cant digest that stuff for the most part. She also gets a shot of Pen every 3 weeks to help out....SC that I have and use here. Shes going on 10 years and back to normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jillian55 Urinary problems with your cat?
My 3 yr old male cat got urinary crystals to the point where he was peeing all over the house had to be kept at the vet with a catheter over the weekend. After doing research, I found Magnesium can cause crystals in cats who are prone to the problem. The vet food still contain this ingredient in it. Ideal Balance does not contain it at all and also has added ingredients that can help dissolve crystals and prevent the problem from occurring. I highly recommend it for anyone whose cat has this problem or similar ones. Its been almost 2 years and he has not had a single problem since.

I got this to replace the grain free salmon that my kitties loved so much, but was discontinued. They seem to like this one, but I notice slightly more odor in the litter box. I wish I could get the grain free salmon again, but this will have to do.
