Rated 4 out of 5 by KittyMom I like the ingredients and the Hill's name
Not sure if my cats love it. They all love the gravy, but tend to leave the chunks uneaten. They are pate lovers, so I'm not surprised. Wish I could get the grain free which looks like a texture my cats would like. I understand Hill's has discontinued it. Bummer.........

Serving size of the can is appropriate. Our vet recommended this product line when we adopted our kitten. Our cat who is now 4 is healthy and thriving eating the dry and wet version of this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by avidonlinereviewer Great for my finicky, older cats
I don't have a lot of room to share the history of what one of my two feline friends has gone through with their health issues, so let's just say I've been thru ALL kinds of canned cat food... for now and hopefully a good, long time this is the food my finicky, elderly and unhealthy cat will eat and only this flavor. The digestive issues he's been having are much better while he's been steadily eating this food.

This a chunky meat and gravy dish, and who doesn't love gravy? My cats lick off the gravy but then return to eat the chunks- something they don't do with other brands.

by Angel The only flavor and type my cats seem to enjoy.
I have three kitties. Two are 9 years old and one is 3. The 9 year olds are super picky, and snub just about anything. Even when they are hungry. They are also pukers with the wrong kind of food. Not sure why, but I've carefully tried so many different types of food over the years with them to find one that agrees with them and they agree with it.
Then also comes the 3 year old who is a special needs baby. He has a super sensitive tummy which means he can't eat dry food without it causing him stomach aches and diarrhea. And even with soft food it can cause the same thing, the vet suggested "Hill's Ideal Balance Roasted Turkey Recipe Canned Cat Food" because he said it would help him to digest the food properly and not upset his stomach. She was right!
Not only does this food not upset his stomach (as he has had a normal stool quite regularly since being on it) but he also loves to eat it.
So not only does this food straighten out a sensitive stomach, it also seems to keep hair balls and puking kitties happy and healthy.
I have to add however, that for some reason, the Turkey is the ONLY ONE flavor and in the Chunks and gravy style, not the minced (they HATE with a passion the minced version) that they love.
I have tried the tuna, chicken, and venison (which I can't seem to find anymore anyhow, but they also loved the venison) but the turkey is their number one flavor. Venison being their second flavor that they will eat but only once they realize that is what is still on the plate. You could leave the other flavors out all day long they won't touch them.
I'm not going to starve my cats for more than a day to get them to eat something that they clearly don't like. I want them to be able to see the food and eat it right away. Other wise they are eating stale food that has sat out too long. Plus, bugs...who wants bugs?
Anyhow. This Turkey Chunks and Gravy is the bomb according to my babies.
They love it!
So I pray that the company does not stop selling this food. Other wise, I'd have to find me new cats, as mine will starve themselves to death with any other kind. :) (just kidding, I'm sure they'll live, but only with lots of puking and other end stuff I'm not thrilled to mention).

I have four finicky felines, each of whom likes variety, to boot. But they all seem to enjoy this turkey recipe. I'm hoping it lasts!
