A healthy bladder starts with the right balance of vital nutrients. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which may lead to the creation of bladder stones. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Stress in the home has been shown to negatively impact bladder health as well. Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Stress clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your cat's urinary health while also managing stress. In fact, c/d Multicare is clinically tested nutrition to lower the recurrence of most common urinary signs by 89%.

Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Urinary Care Stress with Chicken Dry Cat Food is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best answer to FLUTD! Saves lives! We rescue cats and always have some transitioning in or out, in addition to our own. In all the years we've been doing this we've had two males develop blockages, both of whom declined suddenly...within an hour... We rushed them to emergency care and were able to save them. Unfortunately the high quality food we had researched and were feeding them wasn't high quality enough...leading to these life-threatening situation. After the last one recovered, we made the change. This was the only one they would eat, and isn't overly expensive (thankfully). They wouldn't even touch the wet version. Now, not only are we crystal free, all of them (except one) NASA lost weight and are more active. We still add a Vit E supplement for coats and eyes as well as feeding an oily type of werfpon., but that's it. This food has made a demonstrable difference in our pounce's health and well-beinh

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crystals in the bladder can be a problem 2 of my 5 cats are prone to crystals. This product is vet recommended. My boys have been eating this diet for several years and there has not been any further problem. All my cats love it and munch away. They eat the wet food as first meal of the day and during the day, visit the 3 bowls of dry. They eat at their leisure and we all know what leisure is to a cat!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from C/D My boy had problems with UTI' s and my vet recommended C/D. He hasn't have any problems since. After a few years my vet decided to sell a different food that he didn't like. I had to ask my vet to "special order" it. I'm glad to see that Chewy carries it! I can order it along with other pet supplies I get from Chewy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for our picky cats We have two male cats, both adopted. One does not require this food but began eating it while we were trying various prescription foods for our cat that does require urinary stress food. He seems very content/satisfied to eat this food and lets me know when the bowl is empty. The cat requiring prescription food has had multiple blockages leading us to PU surgery. He refused prescriptions foods for years before and after surgery. After surgery he would only eat Purina's canned OTC Pro Plan urinary formula. Within 1.5 years he blocked again so we had no choice but to find a prescription food. He now CHOWS down on Royal Canin chicken urinary SO food (which he refused before) and we are happy that he will nibble at the Hill's dry stress formula as backup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Our cat has battled with urinary issues for a while; mostly stressed induced urinary issues. Our vet recommended this food a few months back and we decided to bite the bullet and pay the higher price if it meant less trips to the vet. I can honestly say our cat has done a complete 180. His demeanor is so much more calm and he's become a very happy cat. Also, since we started the food in August, no trips to the vet (knock on wood). We have two cats and they both enjoy this food very much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth It I was initially reluctant to put my 5-year-old female cat on a prescription food, but vet bills and the stress of a UTI that took two months of antibiotics to kick convinced me that it was worth it. She's been on this food for almost eight months now, and she hasn't had any relapses or other signs of urinary trouble. She gets both the dry food and the wet food (chicken & vegetable stew), and she loves both of them. Her skin and coat are also healthy and doing just fine, and it has actually helped reduce her weight a little bit (she was slightly overweight before). It is a little more expensive than what she was getting before, and what our other cat gets, but it is 100% worth it for her to be healthy and relaxed. I'm also grateful that they offer the stress-reducing formula, since the vet guessed that stress was probably a contributing factor.
