A healthy bladder starts with the right balance of vital nutrients. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which may lead to the creation of bladder stones. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Stress in the home has been shown to negatively impact bladder health as well. Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Stress clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your cat's urinary health while also managing stress. In fact, c/d Multicare is clinically tested nutrition to lower the recurrence of most common urinary signs by 89%.

Feeding Instructions

Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. For best results & safety practices: Gradually transition to your pets new food over a 7 day period. Exclusively feed the recommended Prescription Diet dry food, wet food and treats. Keep fresh water available at all times. Have your veterinarian monitor your pets condition.

Transition Instructions

A gradual transition to a new pet food is important to avoid digestive upset. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with the new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current pet food while increasing the amount of new pet food. In some cases, your veterinarian may recommend no transition or a shorter transition time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth It I was initially reluctant to put my 5-year-old female cat on a prescription food, but vet bills and the stress of a UTI that took two months of antibiotics to kick convinced me that it was worth it. She's been on this food for almost eight months now, and she hasn't had any relapses or other signs of urinary trouble. She gets both the dry food and the wet food (chicken & vegetable stew), and she loves both of them. Her skin and coat are also healthy and doing just fine, and it has actually helped reduce her weight a little bit (she was slightly overweight before). It is a little more expensive than what she was getting before, and what our other cat gets, but it is 100% worth it for her to be healthy and relaxed. I'm also grateful that they offer the stress-reducing formula, since the vet guessed that stress was probably a contributing factor. September 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love Chewy.com!!! My cat developed a urinary infection and partial blockage. After some meds and special food, it was all cleared up and he was good to go. Except, he needed to stay on the special food (Hill's Prescription) for the rest of his life to avoid the UTI and blockage occurring again. Okay, we dealt with it but I have two other cats at home. And do you know any cat that ONLY eats out of his/her own dish? The Vet said it was okay if they got on the special diet too. Finding the food was hard - only certain stores carry it and they don't always have much in stock. But not Chewy.com - they always have what I need, when I need it. And the best part is I can purchase in bulk but don't have to lug it home! Chewy delivers! YAY!! October 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by so far so good My little man was in the hospital with a blockage a few weeks ago. Nothing medically wrong with him. They deemed it a stress event. I don't know why he is stressed he lives like a prince . But anyway, it took a few days for him to start eating the c/d dry but he's eating it now . Won't touch the c/d can food though. But he never did eat much wet cat food. So I have found ways to increase his water intake . ( He loves Fancy Feast Broth and I now add extra water to it . He doesn't even eat the little bit of meat that is in it.)I have to say he does seem more relaxed. I also have feliway diffusers plugged in . He has not peed on the rug since he's been home from the hospital . Keeping my finger crossed. October 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hill's Prescription Cat food for Urinary car We rescued two cats. One we adopted, the other crawled into my daughter's car at four weeks old. Both we love very much. However, both struggle with stress and urinary problems. I was not sure they would like this prescription food, but they love it! I am so glad we found a food that will keep they healthy physically and emotionally. Who would have thought I would say that about cats! October 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Feline CD Stress We have a female kitty that suffered from repeated stress induced UTI's.....this diagnosis was made after repeated testing and trips to the vet for antibiotics. Then on one visit the veterinarian recommended we might try the CD STRESS formula for our kitty to see if it might help to alleviate the repeated UTIs that were not showing any other medical reason for occurring. So, we did. That was a year ago and to date she has not had another stress induced UTI!!!! Not only has it helped her medically, she LOVES the flavor of the food! We feed the dry kibbles, with intermittent canned food, and invested in a water fountain for her drinking to encourage more water consumption. I KNOW that it was the Feline CD STRESS formula that has made this unbelievable difference in our Scribbles life! Thank you Hills!!! September 30, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miracle cat food This food was prescribed to address my cat peeing on the couch. I had spent hundreds for vet bills to determine that she had an irritated bladder. The Science Diet C/D Stress formula not only resolved that issue, but her fur is softer and symptoms of arthritis have disappeared. The prices is steep but worth it, and Chewy has the best price anywhere. Shipping was free and the product arrived quickly. The cat and I, we are both very happy. September 12, 2016
