Description

A healthy bladder starts with the right balance of vital nutrients. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which may lead to the creation of bladder stones. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Stress in the home has been shown to negatively impact bladder health as well. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare, clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your cat's urinary health while also managing stress. In fact, c/d Multicare is clinically tested nutrition to lower the recurrence of most common urinary signs by 89%. • Both cats love it!

    By on

I was encouraged to change my male 2 year old's diet due to idiopathic uti. I was worried as both my cats are picky wet food eaters. They both love it! Too early to tell if it will truly help long term in preventing a recurrence of a uti in my boy. So far, so good. I give it 4 stars because of the cost and the fact that it is only available in the 2.9oz size. Wish they would make it in the 5.5oz size. Also, the process of needing a script from the vet is super simple and relatively hassle free.

  • Cats Love It

My cats are doing well on this food. They are energetic and their fur is soft and shiny. The cat with the prescription has not had any urinary problems while on the c/d diet. I would give it 5 stars if it was more affordable.

  • It is helping my cat

Our vet recommended this food for our cat who has feline cystitis. So far I believe it is helping him. Over the past weeks he has improved. It takes time. We also are giving him distilled water because we have hard water. The price at Chewy is cheaper than the vet and it is delivered to my door.

  • Product arrived super fast!

My cat has chronic bladder issues and this food was recommended by his vet. I can get double the amount of cans from Chewy for the same amount of money I previously paid at the vet's office. It is the same exact food. I am thrilled!

  • Cat who has is sick loves it....as well as all the other 5

This is by prescription for my cat that has thickening walls of the bladder and suffers anxiety. I am doing all I can to help maintain her health by feeding this food along with dry of the same brand. The wet food may help increase her intake of fluids. This food also has a anti-stress ingredient which may help. Anti-stress, extra fluids and she likes it. Good combination.

  • My cat doesn't like it

    By on

My vet put one of my males on this because of a bladder inflammation and high stress. He doesn't like it and I have to add non cd stress wet food to entice him. I wish it came in different flavors and a pate formula. My three cats free feed on the dry food which seems to disappear at the normal rate so I suspect they don't mind it.

  • Kitty liked it from the start.

Sugar (a rescued cat) was diagnosed with a urinary blockage and is SLIGHTLY over his optimum weight. The vet recommended the HILLS prescription diet for him (wet and dry). He transitioned to it just fine. He is a cat that doesn't like seafood (WHAT?) so to find out that his prescribed food was chicken was great. We'll see if we can find his optimum weight and so far no urinary issues. Thank you

The food has a distinct odor but the cats love it. Our Vet highly recommend it as the best brand on the market and the one he has found cats love to eat

  • Good quality!

    By on

Several years ago had a male cat on this diet and neither of our cats would eat it! Now have a young male on this product due to bladder infection and he loves it, won't even touch the food we used to feed him and now feed to our little female cat. Must have greatly improved the taste!

  • She hated it!

    By on

My cat is a foodaholic. She would eat non stop if I let her. This was the first dish I gave her that she literally walked away from. It looks like it's all good ingredients and it sounded healthy enough, but she just snubbed her nose at it. My other cats that do not eat prescription food ate it--they didn't love it, but they ate it. My girl that I bought this for just didn't care for it.
