Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grateful Hills Prescription Diet makes this product My cat was born with a rare liver shunt . After surgery at North Carolina State veterinary school. And eating Hills Prescription Diet L/D version her bile acid levels are in normal range. She behaves like a normal young cat . She will be eating Hills L/D the rest of her life which she enjoys eating because of new life free of high bile acid levels thanks to Hills Prescription Diet foods and NSC Veterinary Hospital School.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only food I could get my kitten to eat! I never ordered pet food on-line before and didn't know what to expect. I placed my order for prescription food and was contacted about how to submit the veterinarian's RX slip. Super easy to take a photo of it with my phone and emailing to chewy.com. The food arrived within days!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Max loves it Even though he can't eat the yummy regular cat food anymore....he does love this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product supports your cat's liver function If you send these reviews back to Hill's they need to add a enticing smell to this can cat food. Cat's go by smell not so much by taste. My male cat will not eat the canned l/d but that does not mean your cat won't either. He will eat the l/d dry. To those who have a cat with a liver problem I would say it is worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mikey likes it!!! My little guy has liver shunts and is very limited to what he can eat. He loves the l/d food and that makes mommy very happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product for liver impaired cats This is a great product for those kitties with liver problems. Our current foster kitten was born with a liver shunt and has been eating this. Although a bit grainy, he seems to enjoy it. It has kept his ammonia levels down (due to low protein amounts) and he seems to be doing well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is too early to know if this is helping my cat's liver, but he is eating it. My cat had refused all liver supplements. When Royal Canin took away their Hepatic Cat, this was my only choice. My cat has taken to eating the food easily, so that is the first step. Too early to know if it is improving his liver values. Thank you Science Diet/Hills for giving us an option. We are using both the dry and canned. He likes both.
