Rated 5 out of 5 by aejae Helped clear up multiple struvite bladder stones
My cat developed multiple bladder stones after eating a different brand of food for several months which I thought was "healthy". After an ER visit after I noticed her straining to urinate she was prescribed this food by the vet. I took her for follow up xrays after 4-5 weeks and the vet staff was amazed the stones were all gone! This food helped me avoid a major expensive surgery on my cat and I am very grateful for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miaa Works quickly and my cats loved it
My poor Cola was diagnosed with urinary stones and my vet prescribed urinary s/d diet in an attempt to dissolve them stones. A week later, no signs of solids in her bladder! My vet was surprised that it worked so quickly and efficiently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aray Good product
Most of all the cans arrived dented. Dont know if that effects the quality. Other than that shipping was fast and affordable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sass Cat won't touch it...
I'm sure this stuff comes highly recommended for a reason. Unfortunately, our cat refuses to eat it, even when mixed with his favorite wet food or sprinkled with dried chicken treats. Wish they had more flavor options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BobtheKitty Enjoys it
Started using S/D diet to clear up a supposed bladder infection that was causing urinary blockage. Unfortunately, the knuckle-head vet misdiagnosed the problem as struvite and not urinary incontinence caused by trauma to Bob's tail. Still he seemed to enjoy the food. Not sure what to think about "meat by products" as the primary ingredient...seems a little on the pricey side given that. Trader Joe's makes an all wet canned food with meat, chicken, beef listed as the primary ingredients. Moisture and ash content, magnesium, potassium are all at well prescribed levels and in line with Prescription Hill's ingredients. The missing ingredient seems to be DL-Methionine, an astringent helpful in clearing up struvite. I'd feel better about the price if all meat were used, rather than meat by products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DsCats Multiple cats - Problem: Only one needs this food
To be honest, the biggest problem with this food is that we have multiple cats and only one of the cats needs this food. The one cat that needs it will not eat it. The others all try to, but they are not supposed to have it.
