Description

Dental care for your pet may be more important than you think. The accumulation of bacteria laden plaque above the gumline can lead to long term oral health issues. Recent studies have demonstrated there is an association between oral health issues and systemic more general health issues altering the kidney, heart and metabolic systems.  Nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to keep your cat's teeth clean and help control the oral bacteria found in plaque.

Key Benefits

  • Reduce the amount of bacteria laden plaque in the mouth to promote systemic health
  • Clinically proven to reduce plaque, stain and tartar buildup
  • Reduces bad breath
  • Added antioxidants to control cell oxidation and promote a healthy immune system
  • Awarded the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance for helping reduce both plaque and tartar accumulation
  • Made in the USA

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product My cats love this food. It's good for their teeth and they fight over who gets the last piece. Totally worth the money in my opinion. I do add it to Science Diet older cat food. October 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best for tartar and dental health When I adopted my two cats the vet said get this stuff for their teeth - and it can be hard to impossible to find locally in NYC (crazy). But it's the best. My cats are almost 9 yrs old and our last vet exam - the vet and tech both ooohh-ed about the 'like brand new' teeth in near perfect condition. For cats a teeth cleaning is about $300 per cat - and anesthesia- yuck. If there's a dental concern this is the stuff you get. September 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Recommended by my Vet This food was recommended by my vet to help my cat with tartar control on his teeth. I use it as treats. Felix loves it! September 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Helps keeps cats teeth strong Our cat had trouble with her teeth and gums when we adopted her. After her first year the Vet recommended Prescription diet TD for her teeth. This product really helped her. Noe her gums are sound, and her teeth look very good. September 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice size Great size bag. Chewy customers service was great. My car loves this food and the vet recommended to help keep her teeth clean. September 14, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helps cats' teeth, some drawbacks This was originally recommended for my cat by my vet. When I adopted her, she had horrible teeth with plaque build-ups. We started feeding her this food and it helped "scrape off" some of the build-up and minimized new build-up. Eventually, we did the full dental cleaning of her teeth and the Science Diet T/D has helped maintain. Our other cat eats it (he liked it over his kitten food). Pros: seems to work for intended use of dental health, seems to be good for nutrition; seems to be tasty based on cats choosing T/D over other foods in nearby bowls. Cons: Large chunks break into little ones - but the cats don't eat the crumbs, leaving waste in the bowls. Expensive. Ingredient list is not ideal. As another reviewer noted, it's basically chicken "parts" and some things like corn meal (don't have the list in front of me). It doesn't sound like a healthy cat diet, but hey- my vet recommended it, and my cats have been healthy for 3+ years eating this stuff. April 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by All six of my cats love this food, although only one needs it! My veterinarian prescribed this food for my newest kitty, who, unfortunately, has a condition which causes her system to reabsorb her teeth, as I understand it. She's so young; only 1+ year! No problem eating these big morsels, and she loves it. I allow my other cats to indulge, because it can help remove their placque build-up, too. Haven't been using it long enough to tell how well it's working, but I do know they are all eating it. And it smells wonderful, even to me! August 20, 2016
