Dental care for your pet may be more important than you think. The accumulation of bacteria laden plaque above the gumline can lead to long term oral health issues. Recent studies have demonstrated there is an association between oral health issues and systemic more general health issues altering the kidney, heart and metabolic systems.  Nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to keep your cat's teeth clean and help control the oral bacteria found in plaque.

Key Benefits

  • Cleans the tooth surface while reducing plaque, stain and tartar build up
  • Fights bacteria-laden plaque to promote overall health and reduces bad breath
  • Complete and balanced nutrition recommended for lifelong feeding of adult cats
  • Unique kibble shape and size and special fiber matrix technology makes this a recipe your cat will love

  • Big Surprise!

Who knew that a perscription dry cat food would be such a hit with my cat! He needs the special dry food for his dental health. I thought, "Oh boy. This is going to be expensive and a big waste of money. My cat is pretty fussy. So I am happy to report that my cat took to the new food right away.

  • My boys love it!

    By on

I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and only feed my boys Hill's Science Diet cat food. They're still pretty young. Meeko is on Science Diet kitten formula and Leo is transitioning to the Science Diet Hairball Control adult formula. But I wanted something that can help fight tartar buildup since they'll only tolerate having their teeth brushed about once a week. The Hill's t/d is a great option for them! I feed it to them as a "treat" every day and they absolutely love it! They each get 10 pieces per day. The 4 lb. bag should last me forever...lol. While I would never purchase medications from Chewy (They're NOT a licensed pharmacy) I do purchase my food from them because you can't find it cheaper I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and only feed my boys Hill's Science Diet cat food. • Unfortunately...

    By on

This product didn't work for my cat. Nothing wrong with the product. But it's effectiveness relies on chewing it therefore removing dental tartar. Because my cat eats wet food I didn't know that he doesn't chew. I bought the smallest bag, 20 lbs., it was expensive. I have almost a full bag left that I won't be using. Any suggestions?

  • Vet approved food for kitties

    By on

The vets at Purdue University, who are known for their great animal science program, introduced me to this. My kitties love it. Low calorie so they can warf down as much as they want. Keeps dental hygiene optimal. Probably the most beneficial cat food for the price you pay.

  • Fabulous Dental Heath Product

    By on

My cats will be 10 in June. They have been on TD since they switched to adult cat food. My Vet at the time had 5 cats and said that this cat food prevents tartar therefore, potentially eliminating the need for a dental cleaning. Additionally, their coats are beautiful and shiny. This food may be a little higher calorically, so be judicious with the amount you give. This is a prescription food.

  • Meh

None of my three cats are crazy about it. A couple of them ate a little of it and that was about the best they could do. Maybe they would eat it if I chopped it up so it wasn't so big?

  • Great treat

    By on

Not sure how we got started with using these as treats. I'm sure it was the vet when our cat had crystals in his bladder. Special diet, etc. but he loves these as treats and they are better for him than other treats.

  • This product arrived almost over night.

    By on

First time I've use Chewy. I was extremely impressed. The order came almost over night and it was a Prescription food. I was please with the size of the food bag, I thought it would be the smaller size I get from the Vet's office. I'll will continue to shop from them.

  • My cat is not impressed

    By on

I ordered the food as a last ditch effort to not have to take my cat to get his teeth cleaned. He is eating the food but he is not impressed. I do not see any improvement either. I guess my cat will have to go to the vet.
