Who knew that a perscription dry cat food would be such a hit with my cat! He needs the special dry food for his dental health. I thought, "Oh boy. This is going to be expensive and a big waste of money. My cat is pretty fussy. So I am happy to report that my cat took to the new food right away.
My boys love it!

I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and only feed my boys Hill's Science Diet cat food. They're still pretty young. Meeko is on Science Diet kitten formula and Leo is transitioning to the Science Diet Hairball Control adult formula. But I wanted something that can help fight tartar buildup since they'll only tolerate having their teeth brushed about once a week. The Hill's t/d is a great option for them! I feed it to them as a "treat" every day and they absolutely love it! They each get 10 pieces per day. The 4 lb. bag should last me forever...lol. While I would never purchase medications from Chewy (They're NOT a licensed pharmacy) I do purchase my food from them because you can't find it cheaperI'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and only feed my boys Hill's Science Diet cat food. This product didn't work for my cat. Nothing wrong with the product. But it's effectiveness relies on chewing it therefore removing dental tartar. Because my cat eats wet food I didn't know that he doesn't chew. I bought the smallest bag, 20 lbs., it was expensive. I have almost a full bag left that I won't be using. Any suggestions?
Great for teeth

My vet recommended the T/D to help with tarter in my cats teeth & it's also good for their gums. I give them a little bit every few weeks, mixed in with their moist food. They love it.
Great dry food

I use this mostly for treats when I bed them down for the night. I currently have 4 cats plus a foster I rescued, and they all love it. Hopefully it also helps keep their teeth a bit cleaner as I give them a generous helping. Highly recommend it.
Best Cat Food

If you have cats or dogs sooner or later you will need to have their teeth cleaned. We have been using Hill's Prescription Diet T/D Dental Care for the past eight years and their teeth look great and never had any tartar build up issues.

This really helps with keeping the tartar level down - I've been using this food for 10+ years with my cats - they like it and it does its job.
Vet approved food for kitties
on Feb 27, 2017
The vets at Purdue University, who are known for their great animal science program, introduced me to this. My kitties love it. Low calorie so they can warf down as much as they want. Keeps dental hygiene optimal. Probably the most beneficial cat food for the price you pay.
Fabulous Dental Heath Product

My cats will be 10 in June. They have been on TD since they switched to adult cat food. My Vet at the time had 5 cats and said that this cat food prevents tartar therefore, potentially eliminating the need for a dental cleaning. Additionally, their coats are beautiful and shiny. This food may be a little higher calorically, so be judicious with the amount you give. This is a prescription food.

None of my three cats are crazy about it. A couple of them ate a little of it and that was about the best they could do. Maybe they would eat it if I chopped it up so it wasn't so big?
