Rated 4 out of 5 by Whatever Veterinarian recommended but not my cat's favorite
We switched to Hill Science Diet light based on our veterinarian's recommendation because our cats are too chubby. During the transition phase of moving from Friskies to Hills, we noticed that our cats making great efforts to pick the Friskies out of the Hills, showing that they really prefer the Friskies. However, months later, they're eating the Hills just fine and there are no issues with the litter box since we changed their food. That being said, they haven't lost any weight either, and the Hills is much more expensive than the Friskies. The only other downside is that I have a cat who was originally a feral and she tends to take mouthfuls of food out of her bowl to random places in the house to eat. We assume this makes her feel safe. She did this with both the Friskies and the Hills, but the big problem is that the Hills nuggets that she diesnt finish feel like stepping on a Lego. They are a little pellets that really hurt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ouimcm My cats like it
I haven't used it long enough to see if my fat cat loses weight, but I have tried other brands and he was not happy. He likes this one, as do my other three cats.

All my cats like this food and it's helping the indoor cats lose weight while the 2 outdoor maintain a perfect weight. It's nice tiny pieces for easy chewing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Butterfly Great product
I have a cat that swallows food whole. With this product, she has to chew it. Great for her teeth and maybe she will not have to go to vet's to have her teeth cleaned anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tequila The only cat food you should be feeding your cats
Years ago, I had a male cat that got a UTI (he was spotting blood in the litter box). The vet told me he needed to be on a special diet for the rest of his life (Hill's prescription diet)-- you could only purchase it at the vets office and it was really expensive . So I asked them what the key ingredients were that made it so special, and I was told it was the ash and magnesium concentration (it needs to be low) -- I asked them if I found another brand with the same levels would that work and they said yes, so I went to Petsmart and compared every cat food in the aisle -- this was the only one that had the same levels. I put all my cats on it, and they all lived healthy lives. I now have a brother and sister cat that have only eaten this formula since they were 11 months old -- and they are now 13 -- never a problem, never an upset stomach. They are the healthiest cats I've ever had. I purchase this in bulk when it's on sale, which really saves $$. This is the only cat food I would ever feed any cat that lived with me...

Rated 5 out of 5 by RoyB Good for weight maintenance
We freely offer both wet and dry food for our cat. This allows him to "graze" whenever he likes and still maintain his weight. He doesn't like people food but he really likes this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scoop888 Great for Senior and middle age cat
I have two male cats, one 8 yrs and the other 13yrs, both weighed 17 lbs to start. After 2-1/2 months both lost 2 lbs. They eat dry food once per day and the wet version once per day. They both love the taste and the kibble is small enough that the 13 yr old (with five missing teeth) can chew it without any trouble. I bought the hairball version, but the kibble was too large for him, so I went back to this. Very pleased. I will keep them on this and the canned food at the recommendation of my vet until they loose at least another 2 lbs.
