My cat seems to love this tuna food. I was hesitant to use any fish in her diet, but if she won't eat other meat, she's worse off than eating something she loves. The small chunks in this food are not at all like the weird, flakes in cheap cat food. These are small ball-like bits about the size of a pea with lots of gravy. My cat usually licks the gravy and refuses the odd stuff in other foods. She chows down on all of this food-not a bite left and so far she hasn't gotten bored with it. I call that a big success!

My thanks to the other reviewers who mentioned their senior cats with renal issues. Maggie, at 17, has been on KD for several years now but, due to the problems of getting her to the vet to renew her prescription (formerly feral and abjectly terrified of the carrier, the car, and anyone else in the whole world, then suffering for days in hiding when we return home again), I've been looking for something else to supplement the KD I have left She was starting to get tired of it, as well. I just got my order of the tender tuna and she was over the top. When I moved her bowl just a little to a better position, she grunted at me. Probably would have meowed, but her mouth was full. Absolutely loves it! Again, thank you for helping me to make an informed decision, I'm so appreciative.

When one of my cats had a severe kidney infection, I needed to switch to a more "kidney friendly" food. Since she lives with other cats, it needed to be something they could also eat and something I could afford. I did a lot of research on low phosphorus cat food and found that many of the "over 7" foods from Hill's fit the bill and I didn't have to go to the prescription foods. Since all the cats involved are over 7, this was perfect. They all seem to like the food, but make sure they get all the gravy before starting on the chunks. They've been eating this for close to a month and they are all doing well with it.

My oldest cat is 14 yrs old. He loves this Science Diet tuna chunks in gravy. I have given him Science Diet canned foods for mature adults since he "became of age" (7), but this is his favorite.

My eight cats love the tender tuna dinner. It's first come first serve for them. The late arrivals tend to miss out and get stuck with the dry food.

After seeing what my friend went through with her elderly cat who acquired diabetes and kidney infections from living off of canned tuna all of its life, I decided I must get my feline on a better diet. My cat seemed to be healthy but vomited a lot and had bad hairballs. I was happy to see that there was age specific cat food for Science Diet and to my surprise my 8 year old finicky girl loves the taste. I feel good that I am giving her something she likes and that also meets the health requirements to ensure a long and healthy life. Glad to say she has a healthier coat and no more hairballs! My renal kitty ate it at first, but very quickly stopped. It would sit 24 hrs untouched. So sadly it was not appealing to either of my cats.
