  • This food does everything it says

    By on

My 2 tabbies have always eaten this food, and it does everything it says. My momma cat had trouble losing her pregnancy weight (she kept raiding the kittens' food bowl), which is why we started buying this food. Our other kitty is from her litter, and we started feeding him this at a year old. They are now 8 and 9 yrs old(guestimate by the vet, as momma was a stray), and have never had hairball or weight issues. I'm staying with Iams for the senior version.

  • Cats love it

    By on

Got the new food and put it out along with the old. We've had an issue with hairballs so I got this specifically to address that issue. Biggest plus--the cats absolutely LOVE this food. Small round pieces and they just went nuts over it. 2 weeks later and they are still eating happily. Cats range from under 1 to 12 yrs.

  • Solved my cat's "pudding poop" issue

    By on

My female cat, Starbuck, has had smelling, runny "pudding poop"for all her life (from kitten to now, and she's 9 years). We've tried every cat food on the market, grain-free, natural, raw, wet and dry. All with the same result -- nothing worked. Even the stuff her vets suggested didn't work. Imagine having diarrhea all your life. Anyway, after doing tons of research on the web over the past month about the digestibility factors in cat food, we decided to try this Iams Turquoise Bag (we had tried other Iams foods, but not the turquoise). After about 3-4 days, Starbuck began having non-runny poops. almost solid in form. And, surprise! --a few more days later, she was pooping solids completely! Well-formed, solid stools. And, wow this means we no longer need to clean her rear-end after a poop. The other thing is, she absolutely loves this food. Eats every crumb. And she's so lovey-dovey, too boot! I think her mood has improved because she's having regular poops. She also has lost weight -- more like "water weight". She's less puffy and bloated. Should've tried this food years ago, but so glad we're using it now. If your cat has a pudding poop problem, try this food. … more

  • Sir Mort says "thanks for the diet food"

    By on

He's quite a picky butt with his food however this brand and flavor is slowly starting to help with the weight issues that affect his overly pudgy frame. Mort lost a leg 3 years ago so he doesn't get around very well. Apparently cats can have comfort food addictions just like humans! Tried to attach a picture of his tubby butt, the file is too big!! LoL

  • Six stars out of six plus four more.....A 10 with Chewy.com

I have 5 overweight indoor kitties that need to lose weight and have just added an additional spayed outdoor cat recovering from an injury that is now indoors. The first step for the overweight ones has been increased activity. But I also want to make sure our recent addition doesn't become overweight as well. 4 of the six have long hair so hairballs are also a concern. The cats are interested in 1. flavor, and 2. digestibility. I am interested in 3. quality, 4. economy (feeding 6 cats is not cheap), 5. hairball control and 6. availability since I live in a rural area with limited suppliers. After slowly sampling the 3-4 dry foods available I had reached an impasse. In frustration, I consulted my vet who advised me to check out Chewy.com. After some research I decided to give Iams Proactive Health Indoor dry food a try. My cats love the flavor, check that one off. It stays in their tummies, another check. The hairballs have been virtually eliminated, check. There are no grains in the formula, unless you consider the beet pulp in the proprietary beet fiber for hairballs a grain, check, and is supplemented with omegas 6 and 3 for healthy skin and coat, check. The price is $12 to $15 less than ordering through my vet, check. The only place where it is available for me is through my vet, but not with Chewy.com, check. I have to give an additional check for economy since I have not had buy the natural cleaner I use to clean up hairballs and vomit. I am also adding 2 checks for my sanity. That is all 6 out of 6 plus 4 more. Yep, Iams Proactive Health Indoor dry cat food through Chewy.com 10 out of 10! … more

  • First Time Autoship buyer

    By on

I have purchased my dog and cat Seresto flea collars from Chewy, but have never purchased dog and cat food. I compared the prices and size of bags I purchase at the grocery store and Chewy is a better buy because I can purchase larger bags and actually costs me less because I don't have to purchase them as often at the grocery store. I love the 20% auto ship discount. My total cost was what I paid in the grocery store for smaller bags.

  • My cat definitely wanted in on it

    By on

I buy this for my local shelter --- it's a step above some of the really cheap bulk brands that carry a lot of harmful waste and byproduct. I can tell you it's cat approved because I left the bags (still in the opened cardboard box) in the living room overnight, and the next morning discovered MULTIPLE bites to the bag as my naughty cats had attempted to have a free for all while I was asleep. These weren't just little puncture marks around the corners. My butt of a cat had made a serious effort to bite allllll aloooong the sides up and down. Driving with this bag in my car, it was SMELLY. And I think the smellier the cat food the better, because it's way more appealing to them! • Slimming down Fat Cat

    By on

After a recent trip to the vet with Fat Cat, we decided it is time to put him on a diet. He weighed in at 17.9 pounds! He is part Maine Coon. He also had had an upper respiratory so we thought it might be from his massive hairballs. Before leaving the office I found the Iams weight and Hairball Care. He liked it right from the first bite. We'll see if he gets his waist line back.

  • A Real Winner

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

New to this product. Was looking for a product to control weight and hair balls. Most indoor claims to do that but really doesn't. Reviews from others did say their cats lost weight so I tried it. Wow, my cats love it. A couple who don't usually eat dry are eating this and the one I bought it for loves it. Will stay with the Iams. Good buy and glad I tried it.

  • Great taste

Both my cats love this food. I decided to change their diet because they're indoors more and they absolutely love Iams chicken flavor cat food. The bag is large but they can't get enough. Thanks.
