Iams ProActive Health Lively Senior Dry Cat Food is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 59.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am thankful for Iams Senior This is the only dry I provide to my oldest girl, 17 yrs. She has been so much better since. No, stomach upset. I have to keep her bowl close to where we sleep so she can help herself at night. The younger boys help themselves to it as well. I really think it helps JackJack get his winter coat and weight on as he enjoys going out in cold and snow for a bit at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been With Iams through every life stage My 15 yr old kitty has been fed Iams through every stage of life from kitten to senior. When she hit the geriatric stage I was concerned Iams wouldn't cut the mustard nutrition wise so we switched to a 'premium' brand. Bad move. She was on it for about 6 months and I began to see a decline and dull fur. So we went back to Iams. She gets check ups every 6 months. Her vet says she has barely a speck of plaque on her teeth and they've never been cleaned (or brushed). Started having trouble with my dog so I put her on Iams too. She looks better than ever and her coat is almost as soft and shiny as when she was a pup. Nice job, Iams!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my senior cat's life! My 13-year-old cat was recently diagnosed with a thyroid condition. He was losing so much weight and wasn't eating ANY of the "healthy" dry foods I would buy from special pet stores. Not even canned. It would sit and sit and I knew he was very hungry. I decided to try Iams after reading many good reviews. He absolutely LOVES it! Now I give him as much as he wants and he is starting to act like his old self. Hopefully, he will gain his weight back soon and become a happy & healthy old guy. Thank you Iams!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From old cat to kitten Hi. My husband & I have always had rescue animals. Our cat, Zeke, is our only pet now. He is 12 1/2 yrs old & overweight. We had been buying what we thought was a top of the line food, & attributed his slowing down to his age. I'd been asking my husband to talk to doc on his last visit, who, tested everything, & saying he's normal, no problems, & said he's really not that overweight, he's just a big cat. However, with his slowing down, I was so afraid that he was getting closer to his trip to Rainbow Road. NOT ready for that, as we'd just gone through that a year ago with both of our rescue dogs. That tore my heart apart, & I can't imagine losing another pet so soon. My Husband came home two(ish) weeks ago with Iams senior, & in this short time, he has obviously lost weight, you can see that. But what I love is that he is playing like a kitten again. He has a basket of toys that's been sitting for some time & now his fav's are out & he plays with such gusto! I am so happy to see him happy again, I just can't even put it into words. I wish we'd switched earlier. Also, Zeke is such a picky eater, so we mixed it in with the end of his last, 'other brand', bag, but I don't think we needed to as he loves Iams. Thank you so much for bringing my kitty back! We have so much fun playing with him again. His stamina is even back to normal, and plays fetch again. Again, I would like to thank you for making being the reason that has brought him back to this living,(so to speak). We're all smiles in this household. Sincerely, & God Bless, Marie

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for older cats I have an 8 year old, two 10 year old, and a 14 year old cat. This food stopped the oldest from vomiting, and helps keep weight on him. Even the 2 year old that belongs to my stepdaughter sneaks into our room for this food. Since we put them all on Iams, they have stopped gakking up their food and a couple have slimmed down and are looking healthier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old cat, New coat Our cat is 16 years old and has had reactions to a number of foods. This food has been a hit with her and her coat is more shiny than ever. I would recommend this food for older cats.
