My cat loves this food, LOVES IT! I, however do not like the runny, messy stools it gives him. Why with all the other good ingredients did they have to add the awful carrageenan? It does terrible things to a cat's stomach and now I am stuck trying to find something that tickles my beautiful Bodee's fancy and doesn't make a mess all over his litter box.

My vet recommended a special grain free chicken diet for my asthmatic cat. It has proven extremely difficult to find it in the local pet supply stores. So glad to be able to get it delivered right to my door. I was ordering from Amazon but would get dented cans. These were packaged better resulting in better condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatWhisperer My 4 Senior Cats LOVE this food!
I have four 16+ year old kitties that I adore. They are at the age where they are losing their appetites and have developed various old age health issues (such as hyper thyroid, kidney issues and diabetes). Appetite is critical when they are this old and I have struggled to find a healthy cat food that they love enough to eat the whole can. This one did the trick. I have tried other flavors with less positive results but my babies LOVE this one! They won't eat any canned cat food that isn't "pate'" either.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tathrin Not as tasty as it seems on first bite, apparently!
I recently had to make some changes to my cat's diet (switching to wet food), so in order to find stuff he would eat I bought a huge variety of different cans, one each, and tried each one. He seemed pretty happy about eating the first can of this and one other type, so I ordered a selection of both from Chewy. Now only did my cat have absolutely no interest in eating any more of this food after that first can (he reacted VERY negatively and wouldn't even let me hand-feed it to him, let alone eat it on his own!) but the other cat in our house, who is something like a garbage disposal when it comes to food, had the same sort of reaction: he happily devoured 1/4 of the can, then refused to touch any more of it ever.
In summation, apparently for whatever reason, my cats are initially pleased by the taste of this food and then promptly disgusted. I suggest you make absolutely sure that you cats really do like it before you invest in this food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by georgina Free of many bad ingredients I believe for cats both cats like it!
I give it to my cats cause of many of ingredients I do not want my cats to have are not in this product. you breakdown how much to feed for certain ages.
Which gives us a guide line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fussycat So good for your cats!!
My cats have grown up on bad cat foods like FancyFeast and while doing so my calico has developed stomach issues to the grains in the foods. She is highly allergic and will throw them back up almost immediately. She has lost so much weight and I have been trying so hard to find a replacement that is both healthy, grain free and of course is something both my cats will eat. I have tried everything and when I picked this up in the store she loved it. She usually likes seafood flavors, not a big chicken girl, but she gobbled this up and looked for more. I was so happy she loved it that I gave the other flavors a try and she loves them too. Of all of the grain free varieties she will only eat 3 brands, and this is one of them. She is doing so well on it that she is finally gaining weight back, for a while I was really worried about her. Thank you Merrick and Chewy for such a great product at a good price. I will be back here for refills!

I use this food to give my cat a variety. She would not eat this everyday but she loves it on in between days. Very healthy product and I have not problem feeding my cat this food.

Missed it and order this food. i do wish carageenan would be listed as an acception, like grain and other bi-products. Off to the store. I must have a better choice for my kitties.
