  • Now that he's fat and happy.....

My newly "acquired" cat began eating here about 6 months ago. He belonged to a neighbor who's kids moved back home, with DOGS!!! He apparently despises dogs, because he packed his bags and moved. To my house. Not wanting to steal my neighbor's cat, I'd put out a bowl of dry food for him daily. (Good review for Royal Canin Dry Cat!) Everything I put out, he ate. Everything! Over time, I began bringing him in overnight (when cats get in trouble). Finally I confronted my neighbor. He knew Peaches (the name came with him) hated dogs, but didn't know where he'd gone (duh?). He was pleased Peaches had a place to live. Now that I was officially responsible for him and he'd gained SIX pounds My newly "acquired" cat began eating here about 6 months ago. He was pleased Peaches had a place to live. Now that I was officially responsible for him and he'd gained SIX pounds, I started him on the Natural Balance wet food. Out of the 8 or so I've tried, the salmon always comes out first, but he likes a variety. The only strike outs were chicken & liver, and turkey. Go figure. My explanation is that now that he's fat and happy, he can afford to be picky! He still eats the Royal Cabin Dry, but LOVES his wet food at night. I'm happy to say Peaches is very happy (no dogs), and looks forward to his evening meal. His body condition has improved 100%. His coat is thick and shiny. And he finally purrs! What more can I ask? … more

  • they won't eat it anymore

My own two cats ate if for a while, then turned against it. I'll try to get them to eat it after some time. I'm thinking they had too much of the same thing and got tired of it. Meanwhile I tried feeding some to my foster mama cat and four kittens (five weeks old). The mama wouldn't eat it, and the kittens just picked at it. So I'm not buying it again. I had the same bad results from the chicken flavor. It smells more like peas than salmon or chicken to me.

  • My cats love it!

I like the Natural Balance brand because I feel it is pretty pure as opposed to supermarket food. My cats eat both stay at their bowls until they've finished all of it as opposed to licking up some, walking away and coming back a few times later, so that, to me, means they like it!

  • Great Product Great Price

My Siamese mix came home from the shelter with an eye infection which kept coming back. She also had loose stools. After trying all the foods/meds from the vet I decided to see if it was a food allergy. L.I.D cat food cleared up ALL issues! Natural Balance has the best variety of flavors with the best price. Especially when ordered from Chewy.com!!!

One of my cats is allergic to chicken, so it was recommended to me to try your salmon/pea cat food. My kitties' coats are so shiny and they are thriving. I appreciate getting my cat food delivered to my house. Service was excelent. Carolyn P.

  • Wonderful product for cats with allergies

    By on

So thankful that I found Natural Balance Limited Ingredients as my cat has skin allergies that were just awful. Regular food caused sores on her skin which caused her to itch and make the problem worse. Natural Balance has cleared up her skin, no more break outs and her skin and fur look beautiful.

  • Smells bitter.

    By on

My cat did not like it at all as it smells a little bitter. She does not eat it by itself so I mix it with another can. She still hesitates to eat, but eat it taking time. It could be only to my cat, so your cat may like it.

  • they like it - I don't

all three cats like the taste. however, the texture is a crumbly pate, which sticks to spoon, floor and bowls. it has a strong fish smell. I will not buy it again.

  • Great food!

Very very odd texture for sure! However, my kitty is actually holding this stuff down and her allergies are calmer as well. I guess due to real and also limited ingredients she is definitely tons better! She will lick her bowl clean which never happens either!

  • Perfect for cats with chicken allergy

My cat had been having a really tough time of inflammatory bowel disorder, and after a lot of vet visits, medication, and experimenting with different foods (including vet prescribed hypoallergenic stuff), we finally found success with a chicken-free diet. We were feeding him California Natural's salmon formula because it contained no chicken, chicken meal, chicken broth, etc (any of that stuff would trigger litter box problems and bloody stools) but when California Natural discontinued its cat food line we were panicked. Lots of label reading at the local pet store brought us to the Natural Balance green pea and salmon formula, and he's been IBD symptom free for over a year now.
