Adult cats: Adult cats should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Chicken Dry Cat Food, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the table. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your cat’s needs. If you would like to provide a special treat for your cat, you can add small amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food. Gestating and Lactating Queens: Gestating and lactating queens will consume more food, usually an additional 1/2 to 2 cups daily. Older cats: As your cat begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for your less active cat. Older cats are sometimes more reluctant to eat hard foods. Adding larger amounts of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food will help the most "finicky" eater enjoy their daily meals.

These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. Amounts are recommended for an average cat with normal activity.

We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your cat’s health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations for your cat. Remember, fresh clean water should be available at all times!

Transition Instructions

When switching your cat’s diet, the change should be made gradually, by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance® L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets® Green Pea & Salmon Dry Cat Food. The change should be completed after 5 to 7 days.

  • Amazing food and my cats can't get enough.

    By on

I accidentally ordered the wrong flavor of food that my cat is allergic to. Chewy was able to help make the process go as smooth as possible. I donated the food I ordered by mistake to a local cat sanctuary. My cats love this salmon cat food and it's cheaper on here than at local pet stores. Thank you so much. I'd recommend purchasing your cat's food from here.

  • Natural Is Better

    By on

We switched our cats to this food because our vet said one of our cats had possible food allergies. Best decision we've made. They all are eating less because they're getting sufficient nutrients which saves us money even though product is more expensive. Worth the cost! Our cat with the food allergies doing much better overall.

  • Excellent for cats with sensitivities

    By on

I tried this after reading several articles on the best cat foods for skin problems. My two cats love it and the one with the skin problems is already showing small signs of improvement. I also added a homeopathic skin and itch remedy from Only Natural Pet to the mix and it seems to be working well.

  • Natural balance-LID grain free salmon & green pea

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I purchase this food for my daughters Senior cat. She was having a hard time finding a good quality food, that was reasonably priced and her cat wouldn't vomit up. Her cat is doing wonderfully on this, she enjoys the taste & the vomiting stopped. Try a LID food to try on your cat if it has vomiting issues too

  • No more diahrea! Belly furs are growing back!

    By on

Our cat had bad diahrea for years vets couldnt figure out why. Tried so many different foods. Finally realized it was an allergy to chicken! BUT most "seafood" cat foods STILL have chicken meal in them because its cheap. So you have to read labels. This LIMITED ingredient Diet is just that. Limited to just salmon NO CHICKEN! My kitty is an entirely different cat now that her diahrea is gone. She had lost all the hair on her belly from licking it and now its all growing back, yay! Shes also so happy and calm now she use to be mean and anxious :( they changed their formula slightly pieces are bigger than the first bag I tried but she was very happy about the change she ate it up. • Great Product --- my cats love it

    By on

I've been feeding my cats Natural Balance LID for several years as one of my cats has certain food allergies and my vet recommended grain-free with atypical protein sources. Though they like the Green Pea and Duck, this Salmon flavor is their favorite -- though I couldn't find the 10b size in any store. Happy to get this large size through Chewy.com and at a great price.

  • Picky cats

    By on

Although I am sure the food was nutrious the cats haven't been too happy with it. Of course, that could be a plus, they won't eat as much and gain weight.

  • Limited Ingredient Good

    By on

Needed a limited ingredient food for my cat and Natural Balance was one of the first "premium" no-bad-stuff added foods that I had heard of and I liked Dick Van Patten and his connection to the animal world. My cat loves it. We also use it as "treats".
