  • My Picky Girl likes it!

    By on

Goli, my 5 years old girl is a very picky eater and I've tried many brands and between all "instinct chicken formula" is one of her favorite. I usually give her half of the 3 oz canned and mix it with a bit of warm water (few spoons only) and mix it for a few seconds. Lately I noticed that the product is more watery which I like it better and sometimes I don't even need to mix it with warm water. 4 stars because if I feed her just with Instinct all the time, she gets tired and asks for something else! But I recommend it. Bon Appetit!

  • best there is thats affordable

i am very grateful that my cats have accepted this food and continue to eat it. I understand that by cat standards this isn't the 'tastiest' because when i fed it to outdoor cats, they refused to even touch it. They much rather eat fancy feast. What makes the difference with my cats is that they've been eating this food since they were kittens and they're now 3 years old and still prefer this food over others. I also wanna add that I have to add TREATS to the food to get them to eat it. I use PureBites chicken treats. Is it worth it? YES! it's the healthiest food on the market next to raw.

  • Kitties love it!

Both cats love it so far after recently deciding they no longer appreciate the wellness wet food they have eaten forever. Did research on cat food, and this was highly ranked and healthy for my three cats, too. Fingers crossed they stick w it!

  • cats would not eat

    By on

I have been trying to buy the best for my cats to eat but seems they don't like it. I gave a can of Instinct to the outside cats and they would not touch it either. So have decided to stay with fancy feast as all of them love that one.

  • Top choice for soft food.

    By on

Nature's variety instinct is a top choice for cats soft food for both quality and healthy ingredients not to mention cats love it. While it is on the expensive end your cats will be healthier for it and I feed my two cats half this and half of a high quality dry food for their 3 meals a day and a can lasts 5 meals or almost 2 days. The only issue you might have is since it is a pate it is a bit more solid then other types of soft food and even more so since I store it in the refrigerator between meals. Because of this I add a bit extra water to it, cats getting more water in their diet is a good thing, and heat up the two bowels together in the microwave for 8 seconds to make it easier Nature's variety instinct is a top choice for cats soft food for both quality and healthy ingredients not to mention cats love it. • Cat adores it

    By on

I recently switched from a different high quality brand to Nature's Variety Instinct Grain-Free Chicken Formula. Now, my cat licks the dish spotless and keeps crying for more and more. I highly recommend it. It's a little more expensive but well worth the extra cost. Give it a try!!!

  • I'm baffled

    By on

My cats usually go bananas for wet food especially if it's chicken flavored. The first time I tried feeding this to them they heard the can open and ran to their food bowl so excited. As soon as they saw/smelled the contents they lost interest and walked away. One cat came back and had a couple nibbles but that's it. I've tried feeding it to them a few times and get the same results every time. By human standards it is probably the least disgusting smelling cat food ever, and I bought it because it seemed one of the healthier brands I could afford...but it's no good if my cats wont' eat it. I bought the dry version of this too which they'll tolerate but still aren't a fan of. Bummer.

  • Good but smelly

    By on

My cat will eat this food, but when I open the can it really smells=stinks. I'm thinking that this is causing smelly stools that I can smell in another room of the house from the litter box. I have since changed to a less smelly wet cat food which has reduced the odor. In spite of the smell, it seems to be a decent food with some ingredients probably not necessary for a cat.

  • Excellent cat food!

    By on

Never before have my cats reacted so positively to a cat food! This food has excellent, high-quality ingredients, the cans are BPA-free, AND my three cats absolutely love it. They're sometimes selective with flavors and textures, but they loved this food from the very first bite, and they continue to clean their bowls each and every time. They literally trip over one another trying to get to it at feeding time. A bit more expensive than their previous brand, but definitely a winner!
