  • Cats turn paws down...

    By on

I bought this product in the turkey flavor once before and three of the four cats ate it. I just bought some more and no one will eat it. They lap up the juice but won't eat the pate. They only like pate so the texture if not the issue. The turkey flavor has a very strong liver smell. They eat another good quality brand of turkey flavor canned food, but it does not have a strong liver smell. Sorry, paws down for this one.

  • Chicken flavor gets a big paws up

My cats are obsessed with this food! The only thing is one of my cats will only eat the chicken flavor. She throws a fit if I try to sneak in beef. The food has a strong odor, but the cats seem to love it! I've noticed one of my cats has gotten a shinier coat since we started feeding her this food and her dandruff is almost gone. The other cats coat has gotten a lot softer too.

This is a wonderful product and I would highly recommend it. As always, Chewy has come through helping us with our cat food needs. We needed to change foods again (our guys stopped eating and we had to abruptly change our autoship order) and Chewy personnel Matthew in particular was SO very helpful. Maddie and Teddie like their new food and we recommend this brand as it is yummy. THANK YOU CHEWY!

  • Excellent wet food

My kitten had constant diarrhea. I called and spoke with a Chewy representative who recommended Instinct as a top grain free brand. The diarrhea is gone and my kitten is delighted to eat wet food again (I had to totally cut wet food out). Thank you Instinct & Chewy!

  • Baxter says OM NOM NOM!

Baxter is my Old Man Cat (16 years old) who lost the majority of his site about 2 years ago, has high blood pressure, acid reflux and was recently diagnosed with the start of pancreatitis. The vet said to switch him to a grain free, low carb, high protein, limited ingredient food. Sounds delicious doesn't it? yeah, that's what Baxter thought too. ;) after searching and trying 20+ different food options (most of which offended Baxter's advanced palate) i turned to Chewy.com and messaged back and forth with the most amazing cat food connoisseur who provided me with several options. The Instinct was one of them (actually 2, the salmon flavor was suggested as well) and i promptly ordered up Baxter is my Old Man Cat (16 years old) who lost the majority of his site about 2 years ago, has high blood pressure, acid reflux and was recently diagnosed with the start of pancreatitis. I will be placing another order for this today. … more

  • Yummy in meow tummy

I have been using the Nature's Variety dry food for a while, and decided to try their wet food, since my fur babies LOVE their dry food. I was a little weary changing up the wet food (from Fancy Feast), since they (i have 2 fur balls) are very picky when it comes do wet food. To my surprise, they LOVE it! The texture is pate with a tiny bit of gravy and it has cubes of real carrots and peas. I didn't think they would care for either of the veggies, but to my surprise they 'dogged' it. I love that it also comes in 3 oz size, it's enough for one portion and nothing gets wasted and there's no need for leftovers (as opposed to a larger size can). Definitely recommend it for a healthier and grain-free I have been using the Nature's Variety dry food for a while, and decided to try their wet food, since my fur babies LOVE their dry food. • First Pate Food My Cat Eats and He loves It

    By on

This food was recommended to me by my colleague after my cat was diagnosed with cancer and no longer needs to be restricted to prescription food. He is consistently eating this food and it is a HUGE relief. I highly recommend!

I was looking for a higher calorie meat food for 2 old cats that still eat well. They love this food and beg less often and seem more satisfied.

One cat nibbles on the chicken but not in love. Cats love the junky cheap food best. It's tough switching to a healthier option.
