Nature's Variety Instinct Grain-Free Rabbit Formula Canned Cat Food is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 173.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well loved flavor My cat has skin irritations from eating anything with poultry or fish. I felt my choices were very limited. I tried every other flavor and brand I could try and found the Natures Variety Instinct Rabbit was the only one she would eat consistently. I like that it is a moist, wet food so I can pour some of the gravy over her food to help entice her. It is a bit more expensive than the general store brands, but knowing my cat is getting healthy ingredients and will actually eat the food, she is worth it. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats love, love, love it! :) I was feeding my cats other cat food which caused health issues in my male cats. I then switched to the frozen rabbit from nature's variety. Two out of the three loved it and their health issues went away! But the third cat didn't eat it and the frozen was a bit expensive and I had to thaw it out the day before etc. Then I found they had the same rabbit in canned. I tried it and all my cats love, love, love it! I don't have to thaw it out, it's less expensive and all three like the canned version keeping them all happy and healthy! I think the they all liked it better because it's not cold from the frig and isn't as dry as the frozen. It's one of the few cat foods left that don't contain ash which causes urinary issues in male cats or has anything in it that causes an allergic reaction like licking all their fur off their tummies etc. As long as they stick to the formula & never change or add to the ingredients I'll continue to buy it and highly recommend it! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One terrific cat food I have had a hard time switching my cat to canned cat food. Have tried more brands than I care to count. Went on line and researched premium canned cat foods And was impressed with the reviews for Natures Variety Instinct..so I decided to try it. As I was removing th lid from the can my cat jumped up on the counter and by the time the lid was off, she was literally scarfing down the food. Have tried all varieties but Instinct rabbit is her favorite. Her coat looks better, her weight is better...success! Thank you Natures Variety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended, but with a bit of caveat I started trying this originally because I have been searching for something that could get one of my boy's diarrhea under control, I had bought some of the rabbit freeze-dried meal or mixer as a treat and to my surprise, it turned into kitty crack (at least that's what I call it). Even a friend's cat who has previously turning his nose up at treats ate it. So I was like - give it a shot. With mixed results. My two boys are overweight and one has previously only eaten fish very well. One had chronic diarrhea. Emphasis on had....... I bought a couple cans of this locally to try - being cautious of my fish-lover. To my surprise they both loved this. However, my boy who had diarrhea, has recently started vomiting. I am going to try the LID version of this and see whether that makes a difference. My boys get dry in the morning and wet at night. I have tried a large number of the high end cat foods and this has been the only one to completely stop my little boy's diarrhea- so I'm hopeful that I'll get the mix right at some point....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shockingly Good!! My Bengal Cat was diagnosed with IBD - he almost died - it came on acutely (fine one day, in dire straights, the next). The Vet told me we could only feed him Rabbit or Venison from now on. They gave me a Vet RX formula of canned food (rabbit) - for his feeding tube and also for me to try to get him eating it - and my cat HATED it. At this rate I figured he will starve without his feeding tube... so I thought I'd take a chance and try the Nature's Variety Instinct. I nearly fell over on the floor when I gave it to him and he almost polished off an entire can in it's entirety! So then I popped the lid on the Nature's Variety Venison to see what he'd do (I had to add water - it is very dense) - and sure enough he liked that one too. This was the first big meal my cat has eaten since his feeding tube was installed a week ago. If he keeps this up I will be able to get the tube removed in the next few days! I am so grateful to Nature's Variety for making a palatable formula that my cats love (the other two have no problem cleaning up after my little patient). Many thanks!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cats lapped it up immediately. I will look into other flavors in this brand as well. Thanks, Chewy, for suggesting it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality content Both my two cats seemed to go off it after a couple of days eating it. They got diarrhea, but not sure it was because of this rabbit version, or other things I was simultaneously changing. Regardless, after they got the squirts while on this, they weren't keen on eating it again so soon afterwards. I'll try them with it again at a later time as I am looking for a protein to try, other than chicken, for my IBD cat. My review may change at that point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent features My kitty who is 17 years old has IBD and diabetes. I had tried different cat food but it didn't help her diarrhea until I started feeding her this product. Now her stools are more formed and less diarrhea She loves the savory taste and the consistency .. Highly recommend for cats who has diarrhea especially cats with IBD disease.. And also help her diabetes.. Thank you..
