Transition Instructions

It is always a good idea to start out slowly on a new diet with any pet. Slowly increase the amount of new food being added to the present diet over a period of 5-7 days. If any digestive upset or loose stool occurs, make the transition more gradual. It is a good idea to allow your pet's digestive system to calm down and return to normal before proceeding. There is no need to rush this transition. (Once your pet is accustomed to Nature's Variety foods, you can rotate freely between forms and flavors. All Nature's Variety diets are specially formulated for rotation feeding.)

  • Cats Love this Food!

    By on

I have three senior cats who free feed on this food and they absolutely love it. They are all different body compositions with various medical conditions, but each manage to maintain their individual weights and health on this food. We were on the rabbit protein food for a long time and they decided they were done with that and stopped eating it. I ordered this food hoping they would like the turkey and they took to it immediately. The high quality, limited ingredient, and grain free diet is important for our senior cats, one of which is food sensitive. They have all done very well on this food. • I Love Chewy!

    By on

I can't say enough good things about chewy. My pets eat this brand of food as it's made in the USA and is limited ingredient. I struggle to find this food in my local pets stores. There is a lot of driving around, calling and having to pre-order. I decided to try chewy. The food arrived the next morning. Goodbye pet stores with teenagers who aren't really interested in working and stores with empty unreliable supply!

  • Cats and kittens approve

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Two cats and two kittens like this dry food. They like Orijen and love Farmina--Farmina has become too costly plus all flavors contain chicken fat and chicken is an ingredient I want to avoid. My preference is for them to eat only their wet, dehydrated or raw food, but the cats became addicted to kibble at the shelter and I cannot seem to break them of it :-( Anyway, Instinct's food is one of their wet foods so I do like the brand and this formula seems good.

  • Working well so far

    By on Top 50 Contributor

After our previous brand reformulated their LID food, my cats did not like it and one got very sick from the new added ingredients. I purchased this and another brand of LID turkey dry food. So far they definitely prefer this one over the other (they refuse to eat the other). All 6 cats eat this and seem to really enjoy it. The best part is that it has good ingredients that seem to agree with my IBD cat. I'm pleased! Will keep buying it.

My cat has a very sensitive stomach, not only does this food not irritate his GI tract but he is absolutely crazy over it. He loves it! Love the quality of this food.

  • You get what you pay for.

I feel like the least I can do for the 4 cats that claw all my furniture, shed on every fabric surface in the house and ignore even my simplest wishes, is to feed them the most expensive food I can find.

All six of my cats will eat this. I have 2 cats with allergies to chicken. That being said all of the cats get a limited ingredient diet to avoid any issues with my allergy kids. I wish the protein was a little higher but it's a good food to alternate with in their diet.

  • Real food for real cats

    By on

Easy to bite bits of what my 5 cats can agree on (the only dry food). The zip bag could use an improvement and doesn't always stay shut, so I typically "repackage it" breaking it down and putting it into several gallon size Ziplock bags. Have used product for more than 6 months after it was recommended for 2 of our cats with health issues.

  • Great limited ingredients dry cat food!

    By on

I have three cats, one of which has a sensitive stomach. The two cats immediately ate this food with no hesitation and the cat with the sensitive stomach isn't bothered by this food, even with it being the dry option.

  • Dandruff and hair loss??

    By on

I switched my siamese from Nature's Variety Chicken Meal Formula to this limited ingredient food because the vet said she needed to lose weight. I mixed the 2 foods to start and my cat would pull the kibble from this new food and eat it only... that was the good news as she clearly loved it. She's been on it for awhile now but has not lost weight and now she is shedding excessively and has terrible dandruff. Both things she did not do before. The only thing that changed was this food. I'm wondering if limited ingredients is leaving our pets needing other ingredients... more omega fats, maybe? I'd love to know if anyone else has experienced this? Thank you!
