Born Out of a Mission of Love

NaturVet was founded in 1994 after the owners' adopted white lab, Winston, was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Multiple vets told them he couldn't be helped; refusing to accept this grim prognosis, they began researching alternative treatments with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian. After a few months, they developed a natural joint formula that went on to give Winston a second chance and more than 10 years of active life with his family and siblings.

  • Quiets down my kitties at bed time... sort of

Two out of Three of my cats really enjoy these treats I try to give them at bed time... Unfortunately the one cat who does not seem to like these things is the main cat I bought this for. He will spend hours at night loudly yowling and scratching at doors to wake me up so I will pay attention to him. I don't know if he is just bored or if he is anxious. I bought these thinking it could help him be calm if it is anxiety that makes him act like that at night. But since he won't eat them it doesn't help too much with him. I have tried crumbling the treats up in his food bowl when I feed him and SOMETIMES that works and he will eat SOME of the treats that were crumbled up and I do notice the amount Two out of Three of my cats really enjoy these treats I try to give them at bed time... I have tried crumbling the treats up in his food bowl when I feed him and SOMETIMES that works and he will eat SOME of the treats that were crumbled up and I do notice the amount of yowling tends to be less when he does actually eat some of the treat. BUT my other 2 cats REALLY like these treats and often will eat their food and treat then go to his bowl to gobble up the treat bits when he turns his nose up at his food bowl. As far as I can tell these seem to work. I just wish my very picky anxious kitty would eat them. … more

  • No real data for review

I wish I could give a good review, but my cats will not eat these. That is no fault of Chewy's, or anyone else really, my cats don't eat most stuff that says it has a pleasing flavor. They are brats like that. I would recommend Chewy to people for sure though, great service, good prices.

  • This stuff is magical

I have a highly anxious cat that figits and howls throughout the night and s has for years. She is still high-maintenance but she snuggles in at night and I get to sleep for a block of time for the first time in forever.

  • Didn't work too good

My kitties wouldn't touch these. I tried every way possible but because the chews were not hard or crunchy, they would not touch them, sadly.

  • Not Too Sure

    By on

I thought these would be great for my cats who love to keep us awake by tearing around the house playing with each other, but in order to get them to eat these treats I have to crumble them up and put them in dry food. I notice they do get sleepy eventually but it doesn't last too long. Still worth a purchase, as there's nothing from the shelf that can truly knock your cat out for hours.

  • Cats won't eat these

I have tried to give all 3 of my cat's a calming treat and they refused. They even flick there paws at them. So now I'm back to the drawing board for stress relief.

  • Destresser that works

    By on

I have two sets of cats. The 18-21 years old and 3 year old littermates. The younger ones often stalk and attack the older ones. This has caused ripple effect of problems. If you are cat person, you know what I mean. I've tried many OTC remedies, infusers, collars and finally, separate rooming on alternating levels and rooms. This is the first chew that has worked for these youngsters and is eaten readily.

One of my cats refused to eat one of these, and my other cat who ate one was not affected at all. Very disappointing.
