Born Out of a Mission of Love

NaturVet was founded in 1994 after the owners' adopted white lab, Winston, was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Multiple vets told them he couldn't be helped; refusing to accept this grim prognosis, they began researching alternative treatments with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian. After a few months, they developed a natural joint formula that went on to give Winston a second chance and more than 10 years of active life with his family and siblings.

  • Destresser that works

    By on

I have two sets of cats. The 18-21 years old and 3 year old littermates. The younger ones often stalk and attack the older ones. This has caused ripple effect of problems. If you are cat person, you know what I mean. I've tried many OTC remedies, infusers, collars and finally, separate rooming on alternating levels and rooms. This is the first chew that has worked for these youngsters and is eaten readily.

  • Not Too Sure

I thought these would be great for my cats who love to keep us awake by tearing around the house playing with each other, but in order to get them to eat these treats I have to crumble them up and put them in dry food. I notice they do get sleepy eventually but it doesn't last too long. Still worth a purchase, as there's nothing from the shelf that can truly knock your cat out for hours.

  • no melatonin in it.

My vet looked at this product, It doesn't have enough melatonin in it to mention. I paid for nothing. The vet said, the cat does not need the other ingredients at all. I bought regular melatonin so my cat isn't getting other bad ingredients !

  • My opinion

My crazy psycho cat wouldn't eat this! But, I take one and crumble it over his cat food and he doesn't know it so he eats it! I only use it when he is actually acting crazy and won't settle down!!

  • Darn cats!

I buy the dog version of these for my dog and they work wonders. The cats, however, ate it the first night, and then wouldn't touch it again after that. It can't work if they won't eat it...

I have to figure out how to get her to eat them. She looks at it, plays with it and then it sits there. I bought them so that when I go on a trip with her she will be more calm. Ugh!

  • Seems to help.

Both cats like the taste of these chews - I crumble up one in a bowl and one or the other always laps it up. My one cat that's really hyper does seem more relaxed. She let the vet tech clip her claws in a calmer manner than usual. But you know cats, one day they are this the other day they are that, so who knows. I re-ordered since they both like the taste and having one or two of these a day certainly won't hurt them.

and he needs them. he's a bit neurotic and he asks for it each day, when he's in for the night. it makes him less jumpy and apt to start a fight with his "siblings".

  • Tasty but no mood change

    By on

My cat loved these. She'd jump up and try to get into the container when it was shut. I started off by crumbling half of one (they're too big for a small cat to chew) and she devoured it. I upped the "dose" to one and a half, eventually. She ate greedily but never showed any signs of being mellowed by them.
