Milk Replacement Powder for kittens contains essential amounts of protein, fat and carbohydrates plus vitamins, minerals and amino acids that newborn kittens need. It is readily accepted by newborn kittens and produces excellent growth rates and weight gain. It can also be used to help meet the increased nutritional requirements during cats’ gestation or pregnancy or in convalescing or elderly felines.

Colostrum, defined as the first 24 hours of milk flow following birth, is a highly concentrated mixture of large protein antibody molecules, vitamins, electrolytes, and nutrients. Cats pass the majority of the mother’s antibodies to the newborn via colostrum. Whey protein concentrate is a source of the essential amino acids that are the building blocks for healthy muscles, skin and other body tissue. Dried skim milk contains amino acids and is high in soluble vitamins and minerals. Egg yolk is a major source of vitamins and minerals and contains all of the egg’s fat and cholesterol and almost half of the protein. Lecithin is a rich source of phospholipids vital to proper cell membrane function and integrity. Choline is a B-vitamin essential for nerve impulse transmission.

  • the mother abandoned kittens and this was a convenient substitute..

There was a reason that the mother abandoned the kittens. They all died before we could use the mix. The mother was smart. The kittens had feline leukemia. We will save it for the next batch of kittens. Price was right. Thanks !

  • Easy to mix and kitties like it.

    By on

We have 6 kitties that have been abandon by the mom. We have been bottle feeding them for 2 weeks. They liked the milk replacement right away. We didn't have to convince them to drink it. They are growing fast and very active kitties.

  • To short of shelf life to purchase in bulk.

    By on

I was very glad I only ordered 6 cans. We are a cat rescue and it is kitten season. I thought I would try something new. The expiration date is 10/2015. I don't know if this is because the shelf life is shorter than KMR and other brands we buy but they are always over a year till expiration. Maybe we just got old stock? We will use it before it expires but I would not order this product in bulk.
