  • Exactly what I've been needing

    By on

I have an 11 yr old cat who has always vomited. Vets told us all cats do that, which I've never believed. The past 3 yrs, he began pulling out his hair on his back and back legs. Flea treatment, cortisone shots and grain free food helped me finally narrow it down. He's allergic to most proteins, dairy and salmon. Nutro Grain Free Duck is perfect. No salmon oil, which is hard to find. His hair has filled back out, even on his legs. He's stopped vomiting completely. I'm so happy his life is better. We found our food.

  • Finally ... a food my cat can keep down!

    By on

I adopted a rescue cat one year ago, and soon discovered she had food sensitivities. I read up on grain-free cat food choices and decided to try her on the Nutro portion packs. She loved them, but could tolerate only the chicken, and could keep down (usually) a third of a single portion at a time, which meant I was feeding her constantly throughout the day and evening and still dealing with occasional vomiting. My vet suggested I try switching her to duck. I noticed Nutro had the duck and potato formula in a hard cat food, so I bought a bag. She LOVES it! And hasn't thrown up since I started her on it (first time in a year I can say that). We're into day fourteen, and she's one happy cat, which I adopted a rescue cat one year ago, and soon discovered she had food sensitivities. Now I can leave out the hard food all day, and she can nibble as she chooses. May not seem like a big deal, but if you've ever had a cat that had to be fed every few hours in order to keep it down (and still couldn't sometimes), you know how freeing this is for both of us. Prissy is now a beautiful, healthy, shiny example of the benefits of Nutro! Don't hesitate to try this! … more

  • Skin Dryness

    By on

Two of my cats have had problems with dry skin mainly on their rear quarters. I've tried different foods without success. A couple weeks ago, I went for this totally grain free formula and I'm already seeing results in alleviating the dander. They also had some sensitivity issues when touched in the same area, and that has also lessened. I'm hoping in a few more weeks it will get even better. I'm paying a bit more for the diet now, but it's worth the extra expense.

  • Non-allergenic duck food

    By on

We started this food for a cat with potential food allergies. The others without allergies kept sneaking in for a bite as well. After a while, we noticed that the allergic one had a shinier coat and better weight. We finally gave in and fed it to the others and soon everyone had better coats and weights, and their stools were better as well, which made cleaning the litterboxes easier. All in all, we find it superior to beef and chicken.

  • All 6 cats love it

All my cats love this food, and will turn there nose up at the other brands I've tried. My Bengal has a sensitive stomach, and this doesn't give her diarrhea.

  • Great for their coats and less stomach irritation.

    By on

I started my cats on this formula because one is allergic to chicken, and I was seeing a great deal of skin allergies on a lamb and rice diet. Switched them to this about a year and a half ago and I see so many fewer hairballs, and their coats are gorgeous, dandruff free, and super soft. They've also shed a few pounds as this food has less calories than competitors' blends.
