  • Non-allergenic duck food

    By on

We started this food for a cat with potential food allergies. The others without allergies kept sneaking in for a bite as well. After a while, we noticed that the allergic one had a shinier coat and better weight. We finally gave in and fed it to the others and soon everyone had better coats and weights, and their stools were better as well, which made cleaning the litterboxes easier. All in all, we find it superior to beef and chicken.

  • Great for their coats and less stomach irritation.

I started my cats on this formula because one is allergic to chicken, and I was seeing a great deal of skin allergies on a lamb and rice diet. Switched them to this about a year and a half ago and I see so many fewer hairballs, and their coats are gorgeous, dandruff free, and super soft. They've also shed a few pounds as this food has less calories than competitors' blends.

  • My cats love it

I have to combine the canidae I bought before and this nutro because they love the nutro so much they just gobble it up. My friend had some of this and when I moved in with her, my cats loved it. Might not be a good thing that they love it so much because I need to help them lose a little weight.

  • Cat's Favorite

One of my cats had swelling on one side of her mouth and I found out it may be the grain in their cat food. Within five days the swelling was gone and hasn't returned. I would like to chime in on the packaging. Fourteen pounds doesn't seem like a lot of weight but it is for me. I am disabled, my back being one of my health problems. The packaging needs a major overhaul. Velcro would be a blessing or the zip closure on the 7 pound bag would work too.

  • All my cats like it, but they aren't dealing with the bag!

In recent months I've tried several different dry cat foods in bulk quantities from Chewy. My cats, as it turns out, are really not picky eaters! I, on the other hand, am a picky packager. There's no easy way to keep this product fresh, once opened, short of storing it in an air-tight container. Wish they'd switch to the velcro or zip-lock closures, like Science Diet and Royal Canaan (sp?) (Chewy, please feel free to insert the correct spelling and delete the parenthetical insert.)

This particular brand seems to be very agreeable with our cats sensitive stomach, and she enjoys eating it.

  • This product is great because it is higher in protein than the previous food I have been buying for my cat.

I like Chewy because I do not like to shop at stores and the prices are better and shipping is so fast!

  • Best food around !

    By on

I worked for NUTRO for 15 years promoting it in petstores, am now retired but have been using NUTRO for my cats for 15 Years. All other petfoods I tried just didn't measure up to the results I get. Started using this grain-free, alternative protein source food when one of my cats started having MAJOR skin allergy probs, and they are now a thing of the past. My petstores no longer stock the Duck version of this food and I ended up trying other similar products but they just didn't cut it. SO glad to have finally found it on CHEWY w/ the added benefit of saving $$$ ! My cat household is now back to normal and all are thriving and doing REALLY well on this diet.
