Rated 5 out of 5 by PGETTIS Best cat product we have ever bought!
Our beautiful and very large 18 lb cat hates to travel. We have to drive from Vt to Fla every fall to work now as our boss bought a home there a few years back. Well, at 16, he has always disliked travel and he has made us dislike it all the more as he meows this low guttural meow all the way to Fla. We finally went to the vet and now have an arsenal of preinjectable syringes filled w/all sorts of calming meds , along w/pills to crush, etc., etc. NONE worked. When we gave him the shots, it was a drunken meow. Just sad and pathetic. It was to the point that we were about to inject ourselves w/the drugs. By the time we reached our destination, we were all more than fried and at our wits end. THEN we discovered Calming Chews. Between the Feliway spray on his bedding/cage and the calming chews we made our way north in the spring. There was barely a peep out of Scootch (our cat) and my husband and I were tired but happy campers.........I am here to buy more. Many, many thanks!!!!

I have 1 very nervous cat who gets even more nervous when people come to the house or the dryer is running etc. I give her one or two of these and it just helps soothe her. She likes the taste and the texture doesn't seem to bother her.

These chews are very hard for any cat to chew. I had to take a hammer and break them apart for my cat. Once that had been done and she got a whiff of them, she looked at me like " I am not eating that." And who could blame her they do stink. I wish I had listened to what some of the other reviews had stated. But since there were some good reviews I decided to take a chance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SnowCat Needs more than one chew, but it works well!
Our cats get extremely nervous when getting in a car for a vet visit. So, we got this product and tried just one chew per cat to test it out on a normal day (no vet visit). They love the flavor, but one chew did not exactly calm them down even though they were not stressed at all. The instruction was to double or triple the amount in times of increased stress, so we gave three chews in the end and the product worked well. Our cats are only 6 lbs. & 9 lbs., so they are not particularly large but they needed more than one chew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ZOOPALOOZA so far so good...
I give this five stars because our "problem child" kitty LOVES these treats...as per my vet's advice for our personal situation only, we give her 2 & 1/2 pieces...both morning and night...for a total of 5 snacks per day. Her love of these treats is thank God the first battle won! Second battle won is that her loving them makes it easier to give, than the prescription Rx for the same active ingredient would be. My cat...and I...will take treat giving over pill giving any time lol. The 3rd battle. ...whether these calm her enough so she doesn't want to kill my other 4 older cats... remains to be seen. Praying for a miracle and already feeling blessed...she already seems less agressive. My vet said give it two weeks to see full effects. She also said do not stop abruptly. ...as poor cat could have withdrawal. ...just like humans can when going off brain altering meds...so be careful...be consistent with the dosage, and safe when stopping. As I wait to update my review in about two weeks, I give this 5 stars because I am very pleased so far! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by BurrStreetKitties worked wonders for my skitzy kitty
One of my cats is super nervous. She wouldn't even let me pet her until I had her for four years. And then it's no guarantee she'll let me again. Things got worse after a lost baby kitten followed my cats home. Ever since I took her in my nervous kitty, Miss Skizzy, has refused to come in the house. She has been living out in the yard for six months. She sneaks in every now and then to eat. The last time she did, I managed to get to the window before she did, and closed her in. Then I started giving her these chews. I gave her three to start off. I got purrs! What a shock. She's been sleeping in my bed for three days now, and doesn't bolt or hide whenever the new kitten Harley comes into the room. A growl now and then but she is nowhere near the level of freaked out she has been, or is usually. These chews really helped. And she and two of my other kitties love the way they taste.
