Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Cat Chews is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 111.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from These really do work!! I rescued a feral mother cat with her 6 kittens and all but one of them was not going to have any thing to do with humans. After two years, I stumbled onto these treats and started to give them to her. I now can touch her on her head and scratch her nose. She waits every day on her perch and lets me feed her the treat and other food in the morning. They are all safe and secure in my 5000 sq ft space and I am very happy to have them. Buy these, they really do work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My senior male cat Loves the Calming treats. He had been without them for a week and when they arrived, he was obviously overjoyed. When the Chewy package arrived, he followed me through the house, up the stairs to his 'treat' place and kept rubbing on the package while I was trying to open it. It was obvious he is "addicted" to thsee calming treats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cat product we have ever bought! Our beautiful and very large 18 lb cat hates to travel. We have to drive from Vt to Fla every fall to work now as our boss bought a home there a few years back. Well, at 16, he has always disliked travel and he has made us dislike it all the more as he meows this low guttural meow all the way to Fla. We finally went to the vet and now have an arsenal of preinjectable syringes filled w/all sorts of calming meds , along w/pills to crush, etc., etc. NONE worked. When we gave him the shots, it was a drunken meow. Just sad and pathetic. It was to the point that we were about to inject ourselves w/the drugs. By the time we reached our destination, we were all more than fried and at our wits end. THEN we discovered Calming Chews. Between the Feliway spray on his bedding/cage and the calming chews we made our way north in the spring. There was barely a peep out of Scootch (our cat) and my husband and I were tired but happy campers.........I am here to buy more. Many, many thanks!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It really worked I have a kitty that with age is suffering from depression. I paired with rescue remedy and it has helped him. He better than he was. For this I am grateful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good... I give this five stars because our "problem child" kitty LOVES these treats...as per my vet's advice for our personal situation only, we give her 2 & 1/2 pieces...both morning and night...for a total of 5 snacks per day. Her love of these treats is thank God the first battle won! Second battle won is that her loving them makes it easier to give, than the prescription Rx for the same active ingredient would be. My cat...and I...will take treat giving over pill giving any time lol. The 3rd battle. ...whether these calm her enough so she doesn't want to kill my other 4 older cats... remains to be seen. Praying for a miracle and already feeling blessed...she already seems less agressive. My vet said give it two weeks to see full effects. She also said do not stop abruptly. ...as poor cat could have withdrawal. ...just like humans can when going off brain altering meds...so be careful...be consistent with the dosage, and safe when stopping. As I wait to update my review in about two weeks, I give this 5 stars because I am very pleased so far! :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very hard I was hopeful about these as my cat gets anxious and starts scratching herself, but these are just too hard for cats to chew. I tried to break them up into smaller bites to see if that would work better, but I had to use a knife. The hardness is much like an aspirin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs more than one chew, but it works well! Our cats get extremely nervous when getting in a car for a vet visit. So, we got this product and tried just one chew per cat to test it out on a normal day (no vet visit). They love the flavor, but one chew did not exactly calm them down even though they were not stressed at all. The instruction was to double or triple the amount in times of increased stress, so we gave three chews in the end and the product worked well. Our cats are only 6 lbs. & 9 lbs., so they are not particularly large but they needed more than one chew.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Opposite Effect I gave my cat Charlie 1 of these treats and it made him act absolutely CRAZY for over 24 hours! His skin would ripple, he would lick on his fur aggressively and would barley sleep or eat. I know it was these treats because before he was normal and once it was out of his system, he was back to his ole self. I think they should put the potential for side effects on this product. His actions scared me so much I called my vet and she suggested that I wait for a full 24 hours or if he gets worse to bring him in. Thank God he was ok after 24 hours. Do not recommend and will never purchase this product or any other product like it!!
