I bought these to better my cat's immune system, because we've found a few fleas on her, and I read that brewer's yeast could help ward off the fleas(wanting to try anything to avoid chemicals). Something that they put in these treats make my cat go crazy, in a good way. It gives off that strong smell, which she loves. Now whenever she sees the bag, she starts meowing and tries to attack the bag. They are a bit bigger and harder, but I can tear them in half to help her eat them better. Not a big deal to me. Sometimes I only give 1 1/2 treats, but you can give up to 2. I will be keeping these in stock because she loves them, and I want her to have treats every now and then, just like we do with tuna. :)

The cats were interested but had trouble eating the treats. The second time I offered, no one wanted any.

After reading such rave reviews about the benefits of lysine, I decided to give these chews a try. Five of my seven cats were struggling with an upper respiratory infection, so I thought it was a good time to implement this essential nutrient into their diet. I was very disappointed when I opened the package and handled one of the so-called-chewables. There is no way I was going to give these to the cats since they are not soft and certainly not chewable. They are like stale gummies. Rather than waste the product, I used my thumb nail to scrape off small particles that I then mixed in with their food. Only two of the cats would eat their food. Our vet gave us lysine gel in a pump, so I tried it. One cat loves the gel and will lick it off my finger, and a few others will eat it if it's mixed in with a smelly food like tuna. If I can't give the bag of chews away, they will be thrown out, but I am going to keep trying to incorporate the lysine gel into my cats' diet.

All my cats want them, however I specifically bought them for Abegale who has always had upper respiratory issues. She really likes them and gets extremely excited when she sees the bag. I feel like they are working for her, maybe it is in my head lol. It's a great deal because you get 60 treats per bag and you can give 1-2 treats daily so this can last you a while unless you have to give them to multiple cats. I was giving her 2 but decided 1 is fine since she has another lysine product (she is taking what she needs daily between the two). Thanks chewy for offering a great deal on these which encouraged me to order it for her. :)

My cat does not eat these. I am thinking about returning them. that does not mean your cat may not like them.

I work at an animal clinic and we have the hardest time figuring out what works best for these symptoms. I started noticing a major difference within the first few days on my own cat. A week goes by and I'm so happy with the results that's I'll never not have these in my house. Highly recommended!

My cat is no longer coughing/sneezing after giving her this supplement for 2 or 3 days. Thanks to Chewy.com and the lady veterinarian on youtube for my cat's wellness!!!

These treats are pretty solid. If you're expecting something squishy or that crumbles when squeezed... these treats are not it. They are also quite large so you may need to break them up for smaller kitties.
I bought these for a stray that's had goopy eyes for several months now. It had gotten quite bad and I can't afford to take another cat to the vet that isn't mine... but I heard that lysine might help (and being an amino acid, I assumed was relatively safe to give a cat without taking him to the vet first (especially since cats are obligate carnivores and have a high need for amino acids)).
They were well received by him, but I assume he's really not picky (he gobbles up any food we put outside for the strays... enough that I've had to start limiting how much I put out to assure that he doesn't eat a whole cup of cat food in one go). His nose and eyes have cleared up a bit (no more sneezing or goopy nose) but he's still got some funk going on in his eyes... so I'm going to try another brand to see if I can get his eyes to clear up fully (though at least it's improved).
I have been giving him 2 once a day (for about a month), which is probably not ideal but I don't always see him more than once a day to spread out the doses... so I'm not sure if that's effected the efficiency of the lysine.
