Rated 3 out of 5 by from Depends on your cat.. If your cat isn't a total glutton like one of mine is then it should work fine for you. I got this product to use during vacations to make sure that portions were being correctly fed at the exact times that they were needed. However, my fat cat learned how to stick her little paw in there and make more food come out, leaving less for the next meal. It also managed to drop quite a bit of food behind the bowl somehow, making it difficult to clean out and also making portions smaller. We still use it while out of town, just make sure to have a pet sitter come in more often to make sure that all of the kitties are actually eating. I like how it shows how many meals it has fed and it is pretty easy to use. If you don't have a lot of money to spend on an auto feeder then this isn't too bad of an option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissappointed Bought two for a covered porch. We were adopted by a couple ferals. Needed feeders for convenience and when gone on short trips. Feeders worked for about 3 weeks with some monitoring. Needed to adjust bowls frequently and it ended up being more time consuming and inconvenient. The slightest bump of bowl from cats would cause food to drop behind bowl instead of sliding into bowl. One feeder completly cut off. I tried new batteries and feeder never came back on. Second feeder started acting up not even 2 days later. Food was not dropping as programmed. When I would attempt to feed manually acording to directions, distributor would just spin dropping no food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleeping until 5:30am This product has allowed me to sleep until 5:30am without a dirty cat paw in my mouth. I just give my three cats a little snack of dry food at 4:30am. They get special diet food and one with meds, but just a little dry food has allowed me to get enough sleep every night and wake up with happy cats cuddled around me every morning. PS my cat Spaghetti worships this machine now. I have two cats in my family, but we always foster one from the shelter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product is good, but needs an improvement for the feeding dish placement. The feeder is very easy to load and program. The top is hard to latch but can be done with patience. The feature that I did not like is that the pet can move the bowl while eating. This causes the next release of the food to jam and the full feeding is not dispensed. Eventually, the feeder cannot dispense food at all due to the dish not remaining in the correct position. If the pet owner is at home, this can easily be monitored. However, if leaving the pet for a few days, it is risky to assume equal dispensing of the food is reliable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works inconsistently The point of this feeder is to provide you the knowledge that your pet will be fed when you are not home. On many occasions the food did not drop. In one week's time, an average of 4-5 meals would not drop at all. Failure to drop occurred for each meal time, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have followed all directions to the letter and still it sporadically does not drop food. I do not have confidence in this product to feed my dog while I am away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aspen Pet LeBistro Portion Control Programmable Feeder I have not been happy with my purchase. It has not been consistent with the amount of food that is dispersed. This morning the food came down twice with 15 minutes between. There have been times when no food came down. I purchased this product because sometimes I am not here at the time my cat needs fed and I try to keep him on schedule. I keep hoping that it will eventually correct itself but not so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easily jammed This thing is trash. My cat broke it immediately, before the first feeding. The previous model was better built and slightly harder for kitty to jam; this one was dumping on-demand kibble in no time. Kitty's investigation also jammed the feed wheel, preventing future timed feedings. Absolute garbage, do not buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love how much storage this thing has! This feeder is the way to go! I had been searching for a good, reliable automatic food dispenser to feed my 2 cats while I was gone on a trip, and ordered this one because it appeared like it could store quite a bit of food. I have been using it for a couple days now and it hasn't caused any problems at all. I was very impressed with how easy it was to set up and to program! You can barely hear it when it dispenses food which is also really nice. My one complaint which isn't a big deal for my cats, is that it can easily be tipped off its bowl's platform of which if it got knocked off the food wouldn't spill and it would still work just fine; your pet would just be eating the food on the ground then... haha. I use this feeder outside just under a covered surface and it works great for my kitties!
