Rated 4 out of 5 by Yorkiedoodlemom Finally a travel crate that fits my airline's size limits.
I'm flying Southwest and their length limit is 17" which seems to be unusual. There are a lot of 18" crates out there. This one is a little bit lightweight, but I replaced the honeycomb plastic floor with a piece of 1/8th " plywood that I had left over. The new, more rigid floor helps. My Yorkiedoddle fits very comfortably and she seems to like it. Lots of ventilation and a pocket to keep papers and leash in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cabletron Perfect for a small, calm animal
I had a great customer service experience with Chewy when this product would not contain my very active 6 month old feline. He's growing so fast that I knew the soft sided carriers would not be suitable for him down the line. I found a perfect carrier made by Petmate also for up to 20 pounds. I found it under "Dog carriers" and am delighted with it. This soft sided kennel is so attractive and perfect for a smaller animal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amanda Great alternative to hard-sided carriers
We have three cats-- 15 lbs, 13 lbs, and 11 lbs-- who hide the minute you get out the hard-sided carrier and make going to the vet a constant battle. They love sleeping in suitcases and duffel bags, so I thought this might be a good alternative. I bought two "large" carriers, which were smaller than I expected but will work well for short car rides. I am skeptical about their usefulness for longer rides (because there is not room for them to stand). We haven't taken them in the car yet, so we will see if they still enjoy them after that, but for now we are dealing with a war over who gets to sleep in them, so that's something of a success!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sunhinelover Very nice carrier
I purchased two of these carriers. One in all black (large)and the other in the taupe and black ( large )....there is no assembly.....they just sort of fall into position and do collapse easily. These would be considered a soft carrier as there is no, hard plastic molding allowing these carriers to easily fold up for storage. I happen to leave my carriers out in the house and my cats utilize them daily as their own personal little crate/beds.....My only negative remark is the all black carrier stunk to the high heavens...it must be the material it was made out of.....I had to let it sit outside for a good week so some of the chemical smell could fade away. I do believe the material was treated with some sort of dye or chemical coating. However, I have had the carrier for over a month now and since it's week of airing out....the smell is much less....The taupe and black carrier did NOT smell.....only the all black one. I am happy with my purchase and have recommended this item to a friend of mine who also has a cat.

Great buy. Zipper pulls both sides equally with nice placard to ensure zipper remains closed. Light weight but sturdy.

It worked out well, thank you. Easy to use, the right size for use with airlines, including Spirit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pkaze Bigger than expected
I received my carriers quickly and I'm pleased with the appearance. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but, for some reason, I thought that it also opened from the front end, like a traditional hard sided carrier. But it only opens from the top.
I haven't tried putting all of my cats in one yet, but I think it might be awkward with the way it closes. Some of my cats refuse to go in carriers and I have to wrap them in a towel to put them in.
I really like the light weight of the carriers and the fact that they fold down for storage. That is the main reason I purchased this one. I have 5 cats and storing the hard carriers took up way too much room.
This way, I can have 5 carriers in the space of one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by seastman easy to use and comforting to cat
My cat usually fights when placed in a carrier, knowing she is going to the vet. But this time, possibly because it was new and novel, she not only did not struggle, but was quite docile the entire way to the vet. I think this could be due to the openness--she can see everything and has plenty of air. For me, it was not only easy to put her in and zip her up quickly, but a light-weight carrier that made it much easier for me to carry. It also appears to be easy to clean. A winner all around!
