However, it doesn't pick up the cat hair. Just does a very good job of gathering it up so it is easier to vacuum or pick up with roller. Not really magnetic. I am satisfied, just not what I expected from the description.

I was trying to replace a similar product that had worn out. It had rubber fingers much like a big hair brush. This just has a rubber strip. It just rolls the pet hair into a clump then you have to pick it up by hand. Too much work.Cheap but still a waste of money

I bought another one of these Hair magnets for the horse barn . It works get on getting the horse hair out of your english saddle pads. You have to work a little going back and forth but it really does get the hair out of the pad. It also works great on couches to get the cat hair off too

I love the Petmate Pet Hair Magnet. I use it on my furniture and carpeted steps. The hairs roll into nice bundles that are easy to pick up. This tool works better than my vacuum cleaner getting up dog hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John Really pulls up the pet hair off carpet
I had used one of these before until our new dog had chewed it. Ordered another from Chewy. The one sent to me did not say "Pet Hair Magnet" on it so I suspect it is an off brand but the same design. I use it primarily on my carpeted stairs. Using a "squeegee" type motion I drag or rake the tool from the left and right towards the center of the stair. Hair accumulates in a nice pile which I place in a bag for disposal. It works great in crevices or along baseboards where my vacuum cleaner cannot effectively clean.
