  • My cats love this food

My cats love this food. All three of them are hooked on it, even Mr. Picky. The vet said it is the best diabetic food available. Only one of my cats is diabetic but the vet said all can eat the food. It is pricy and that is my greatest con for this food. I questioned the label with Purina and they sent detailed information supporting the quality of the food and the myth busters for some of the language used on the lable (like meat by product). Anyone questioning this might want to call Purina for a conversation, it did make me feel better about using this food. • Managing my cat's new diabetes diagnosis with just food

    By on

So, my nearly 16-year old was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with diabetes (240 reading). My vet suggested we try to manage it with food. I just got back from the vet for my 3-week follow up reading- it is down to 147! No insulin! Of course, I will keep monitoring it regularly. Meanwhile she fortunately likes the food. She prefers the dry version of the DM, however I know that the canned DM is better for her. So I only give her the dry as a treat. And I love Chewy's quick delivery service so if I am about to run out and forgot to order, I don't have to worry as Chewy is so reliable. Thank you Chewy!!!

  • my kitties diet

I have two male cats, one is an overweight yellow tiger at 11 years old and the other is a male Tuxedo at 17 years old, he is a diabetic and has been on daily insulin for over 4 years. Several years ago I switched my cats over to DM dry food with low calorie, high protein diet to keep them healthy. Other than obesity in one and diabetes in the other both cats do very well on DM wet and dry food. I have always kept my many cats over the years on this kind of diet, low calorie, high protein dry and wet food. It's good way to give them longer lives.

  • Great Service

    By on

It's expensive having a cat with diabetes. I have one with and one without so they both have to eat this. Chewy is the cheapest I have found and they have the fastest service. I also have to order dry food and am now a regular customer.

  • Necessary now

My black house panther was recently diagnosed with diabetes. The vet said he had to be on Prescription canned for life. She prescribed Purina Pro Plan DM. He eats both varieties, pate and morsels canned. He seems to like it and cleans his bowl every meal.

  • Good product

My 2 cats were switched to this food recently and they both ate it heartily right off the bat, which is not always the case with these finicky creatures! So far, so good and I hope they continue to like it.
