Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets DM Dietetic Management Formula Canned Cat Food is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 121.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My cat seems to like this food which has the ingredients I was looking for. My cat is 15 years old and was recently diagnosed with Diabetes. As a result I needed to change her diet. I tried several different foods appropriate for Diabetic cats and she seems to like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purina DM has my senior cat eating again! Last month, I placed my first order of Purina DM for my 19 year old Siamese. She had been extremely ill with pancreatitis for over a month - wouldn't touch ANY food that I gave her. During that time I was forced to syringe feed her. Some recent bloodwork revealed that her pancreatitis was improving - BUT found out that she had become diabetic. The vet suggested that we try feeding her Purina DM canned food. I truly didn't believe that she would eat this on her own . . . but as soon as I put the plate in front of her, she immediately started to eat! I don't know have any idea WHAT it was about this food - but it literally saved her life. (I had been considering putting her down.) She's gained some weight back (was 6 lbs - now 7 lbs) - is more active, lays in the sun and purrs like a machine. I am SO VERY thankful that Purina has given me my "little old lady" back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product helped my diabetic cat to go in full remission. My 11 y.o. male cat developed diabetic signs & symptoms that at first I didn't recognized. It probably lasted 3-4 months before I took him to our vet. His blood glucose level was over 600. He was put on insulin q. 12 hours with only DM fed to him at the 12 hr. intervals. After a period of 2 1/2 months he had normal blood glucose levels . It has now been 3 months since his insulin was stopped. I still feed him DM twice a day. He is like a kitten again--runs through the house, plays with his toys and ambushes our other cat. I attribute very strict adherence to DM in the amount specified by your Vet and strict insulin coverage 12 hours apart for his recovery. The other cat also loves this food, so I have been feeding her as well. Her coat is now amazing, she's lost a bit of weight and is more peppy than ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from AS GOOD AS OTHERS I bought this food as recommended by my vet for my cat's diabetes. I had him on Pinnacle (8% carbs), Bravo (3% carbs), Nulo (5% carbs), and Avoderm (10% carbs) to help with reduced carbs. While I am sure this food falls in line with these other brands for low carb content, my cat is having extreme difficulty lowering his sugar, and therefore, this food did not work as well as we thought it would. However, he loves the flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DM cat food I have been feeding my cat DM for about 2 years now. He loves it. The price I have been paying was over $2.00 a can, your price is a little better to work with. If your price goes up like it does on other products I buy, I will just have to go back to the other place I've been getting them. For now your price is okay with me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our diabetic cat loves this food! After a diabetic crisis that sent us to the emergency Vet, it is wonderful to see our cat eating heartily again. The DM is a great product, and Chewy made it easy to order and set up automatic refills. The price was about the same as at our vet, so with the free shipping, it was a done deal!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cats doing well Both cats like this food. One is off insulin and stable. The other is slimming down. It just doesn't make any sense that this high protein, low carb food should require a prescription. There's really nothing medical about it. More profit for Purina, I guess.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard for me to rank this. I usually feed my animals a higher quality food than Purina. I tend to steer clear of anything with "meat by-products in it. That said, this food seems to be helping my cat's diabetes.
