Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Formula Dry Cat Food is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for our cat who had feline panleukopenia We adopted our cat from a shelter when he was about 2 months old, but before that (when he was just a few weeks old) he'd nearly died from feline panleukopenia. It's a form of parvovirus, and can do a number on the intestinal tract of cats. He was lucky and recovered (only about 10% of kittens survive) but we suspect he has some lingering sensitivity in his GI tract. He would eat whatever food we'd give him, but he was having diarrhea and vomiting on occasion. We tried a few brands, careful to mix and transition slowly between them, but the problems kept arising. Our vet recommended this food, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. No stomach upset, no diarrhea, just a happy healthy cat! He seems to love the taste and his weight is normal and stable following the guidelines on the packaging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No more loose stools! Two of my four cats (I know, cat whisperer here) were suffering from loose stools. My vet suggested this food as it contains probiotics and is designed to help with gastrointestinal issues. I am happy to report that it seems to be working well. My cats enjoy it and after several days, I did notice a difference when cleaning out the litter box. (I should note that the cats started the food in conjunction with a dose of antibiotics.) If you are concerned about your pet's stools, talk to your vet and see if this food is a good option!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has solved the digestive problem for my cat. 12/24/16 My cat Teddy was having digestive difficulties involving passing large amounts of blood. I tried three different dry cat foods and no change. My veterinarian suggested I try Purina Pro Plan EN dry cat food, and he has been on that for two weeks. No problems. I think Purina Pro Plan EN dry cat food is the solution for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product We have a Russian Blue. He had horrible issues with his digestion! We took him to the vet I don't know how many times and tried lots of meds. He kept loosing weight from throwing up each time he ate and had bad skin issues with scabs etc. A few days on this food and no throwing up! His skin got better! He feels so much better like a normal kitty! So happy we got him figured out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my kitties life. I have a 10yr old main coon with FIV. he had diarreah for months, tried all kinds of expensive pills and diets. Rated 4 out of 5 by from ... "Kat" won't eat anything else Adopted a cat from a shelter. She came complete with giardia. Diarrhea, etc. The vet put her on 7(?) days of pills and said use the EN diet. When that cleared, found she had severe gingivitis requiring removal of all but canines. Vet said cats can still eat. 2 years later, she's healthy weight eating only EN dried food. Doesn't want anything else wet or dry. Problem: no matter how steep the edges of the bowl, she leaves too much on the side when she pushes her face in it (no front teeth). It becomes stale and she won't eat it. So she wastes a lot. But now chewy.com sells 10# for about the price of my vet's 6#... Happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensitive Cat Tummies...... One vet recommended no dry food, so my cats never ate dry. Unfortunately, we discovered a stomach issue occurred with one of the cats, hence forcing the Gastroenteric dry food diet, plus probiotics. I've noticed they gained some weight, but no further issues to date. As far as Chewey - I searched for the best price and they are it!!! Fast delivery and great customer service! I would definitely recommend.
