Description

Love your senior cat with the Royal Canin Indoor 7+ Dry Cat Food. Cats that live exclusively indoors have a less active lifestyle, which can lead to obesity. Additionally, they are sheltered from temperature and daylight variations, which disrupts the seasonal cycle of fur growth and increases shedding. This formula is designed to manage all this while promoting vitality at the first signs of aging, allowing your indoor cat to thrive. Based on 40 years of science and observation, Royal Canin supports the health of your cat by providing him with precise nutrition and a true understanding of his specific needs.

Key Benefits

  • Designed to help cats face the first signs of aging and promotes vitality.
  • Contains a precise balance of vitamins and minerals including vitamin C, EPA and DHA.
  • L.I.P. digestive science innovation uses protein selected for its high digestibility, which helps reduce stool odor.
  • Adapted phosphorous levels help to support renal function, as kidney decline is common in senior cats.
  • Square, soft kibble is easily broken in the cat’s mouth to help protect sensitive teeth and gums.

  • Royal Canin Changed the Formula-Now Cats Won't Eat

    By on

I have used the Royal Canin Indoor Mature 27 dry cat food for years (along with canned cat food) and all of my cats have enjoyed it. When I recently went to add a bag to my order, I noticed the bag design had changed--sadly the ingredients/formula have changed too without Royal Canin bringing this to the attention of long time customers. The previous formula had chicken as the main ingredient whereas the new formula has corn as the main ingredient followed by barley, wheat, chicken meal, and corn gluten meal (chicken is no where to be found on the new ingredient list--only chicken meal as the 4th ingredient!!). My cats won't eat the new formula either!

  • Change in formula

    By on

My reorder from Chewy arrived and I noticed a change in packaging on the Royal Canin Mature 27 stating "New Name Indoor 7." I recently opened the bag and my cat will not eat it. I have since read the ingredients and see that chicken is no longer the main ingredient but corn, barley, wheat and chicken meal are. Nowhere on the packaging does it say the formula has changed. I am very disappointed with Royal Canin and will have to resort to another brand of food. PLEASE BE AWARE THE FORMULA HAS CHANGED!

  • Change in formula

    By on

My cat has been eating this food for years, i too recently purchased the new packaging royal canin mature 27. My cat hates it. Won't go near it. I contacted chewy to see if there was a formula change. They weren't sure but were so kind & helpful even sending me another bag in case that bag was rancid. 2nd bag was the same very disappointed with royal canin they should have left the product formula alone. And most certainly have put on packaging that formula changed!!

  • Royal Canin dry cat food for senior cats

    By on

My cats love this stuff. Had been getting it elsewhere until it became unavailable there. I (and my two cats) appreciate being able to get it again through Chewy!! (and the service is great too!.)

  • Good quality food that our cats like

    By on

Our veterinarian recommended we switch to Royal Canin Indoor 27 for our cats several years ago. They're now "mature" cats and we've found that the "Indoor Mature 27" has significantly reduced their vomiting, perhaps due to its smaller kibble size. They seem to enjoy it. Royal Canin is not inexpensive, but they seem to be thriving on it.

  • My cats love this food

Found this food once locally and tried on my finicky cats. They loved it and it's good for them so I wanted to get more. Not available locally so turned to Chewy.

  • Perfect for our older indoor cat

    By on

Our vet suggested this product after reading all the ingredients. Our 12 year old cat is just beginning to show a few signs of aging and we want to be sure she gets the proper nutrition. We were so happy when she liked the food right away, because she is not a big eater.

  • My cats new favorite

    By on

My older cat is very finicky and he only eats dry food. Many of his favorites have been discontinued and he will not eat the same food two days in a row. He was very excited with this product from the first bowl I poured and he actually will eat this two days in a row.

  • Well Rounded Flavor

    By on

I found this set of morsels to be crunchy yet with a hint of moisture. The aroma filled the nose from an acceptable distance. As an older customer I appreciated the ease of digestion. This defiantly allows for less time in the litter box. My recommendation....Will eat again Sincerely Boomer PS: It save my owner 50% over Petsmart

  • Was hoping for this to be it!

    By on

I've bought Acana, Royal Canin regular indoor 27 and now this. With the others, they at least gave it a try once, but my cats won't even touch this. Still searching.
