My cat has been suffering from major behavioral issues for almost a year now. My new vet suggested this food. I was skeptical but within just a week of mixing it in with my cat's old kibble she is already starting to act like her old self. I could not be happier! Worth the $$$

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sphynx1 Great idea but ingredients are low quality and the price is high
My vet who specializes in felines recommended this food. So I bought a bag. I had been feeding Orijen so I was used to spending a good amount on food but this Royal Canin food was nearly twice the cost. I would have gladly spent the money if it worked. I didn't notice any difference and when I checked the ingredients I saw byproduct meal as the number one ingredient followed by corn, rice, and wheat. Cats don't need all those grains so I am disgusted to have spent all that money on a food that is not that nutritious and doesn't work. My cats did love the taste though. Probably because it is like eating junk food. I will go back to Orijen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sunshine3215 Excellent, costly but GOOD
I initially was given this food because my cat was suffering from excessive allergies (itching/scratching/losing hair on paws) and a jealous attitude towards a homeless cat that I feed outside the house. The vet recommended that I change my ways and feed the stray cat at the side of the house and not right out front. Well, I did that and I also started using the calm food as recommended.
My cat stopped the itching within 3 days of only feeding him calm. My cat liked this food from the start, I did not have to mix it with his old dry food. It also does not have a strong order as the N/D Royal Canin food does. The only thing is sometimes my cat eats fast and throws up so I just want to warn you if your cat does that, give him/her smaller portions instead of larger portions. I will continue to buy this food until I can find a good replacement at a cheaper price.

My cat loves this food. Not sure if she's been on it long enough to see the affects of its calming properties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JanD GREAT formula for digestive problems!
My cat was losing weight and looking sick! My Vet put him on this diet and with in a week he was feeling much better! He was never much of a fan of dry food but he loves this and no more Vet bills (for now)!! ❤️❤️❤️

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leslie Still in the trial stage, mixing with former food, but hopeful.
Not totally on this food as yet, but already I can see an improvement in my cat's compulsive grooming, excessive shedding, and she seems a little less timid and Jumpy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Razzmatazz Calming healthy catfood
Our vet recommended this Calm formula catfood when we introduced a younger rescue kitty to our older kitty. It's worked very well for calming and also keeping a healthy urinary tract. I add some Canin hairball dry food in too. My only complaint is the grains in it. We all prefer grain free.... hopefully Canin will catch up with the times. ☺
REALLY LOVE the convenience and good price from Chewy! Thanks guys!

A few years ago, after medication did not affect our alpha female from marking, our vet suggested this food. Boom!! In less than 2 weeks she completely stopped marking and picking on our other kitties! After a few months we switched her back to her usual IAMS dry food and have not had the problem since then. We took in a sweet little female stray who was in our backyard for a couple of years. She was tame and we brought her in at night to sleep with us. No problem, right? Well, she got into rat poison at our neighbor's and she fell ill. We now had the task of making her an indoor kitty. She was not doing well with this, so we put her on this food and the transition is going so much better! It is still a work in progress with her, but she is adjusting and finally allowing us to sleep at night without crying at the doors and windows all night. Our other kitties eat this food, too, including our previously mentioned alpha female who did not welcome another girl into the house. Buy this if your cat needs help with any type of emotional adjustments to their environment or the introduction of a new pet. It works!
