Description

Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition Dental was specifically developed to provide optimal protein, energy and nutrient levels. This formula is uniquely designed to provide triple action dental care to help prevent the accumulation of plaque, tartar, gingivitis and halitosis.

Key Benefits

  • Brushing Effect - The texture and cube shape of the kibble produce a gentle abrasive effect on the teeth during chewing. This mechanical action provides a brushing effect to reduce accumulation of dental plaque.
  • Plaque and Tartar Control - Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) binds salivary calcium making it unavailable for the formation of calculus, and a specific nutrient incorporated by ROYAL CANIN helps reduce dental plaque build-up.
  • S/O Index - This diet promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
  • Complete and balanced dry cat food diet that provides precise nutrition for adult cats with dental issues.
  • Oral disease is the number one health problem diagnosed in cats and dogs; signs of dental problems in cats include bad breath, toothaches, loose or discolored teeth, tartar buildup, and constant licking or pawing at the mouth

Note: Royal Canin Veterinary Diets require a veterinary prescription. This product will not be shipped until a copy of a valid prescription authorization is faxed to 1-800-619-7973 or e-mailed to rx@chewy.com.

I had a small sample or Royal Canin Dental in my cabinet. I decided to give them to my 4 cats. They loved them and could use them. It was a product that needed a RX. I filled out the information required from my Vet. I received .my product shortly after. I mix it with their other food, Science Diet Optimal Care, don't want to do a complete change.they pick out the dental food which is a good thing. I would use Chewy again.

Cat enjoys, though takes effort for her to chew. Probably part of reason keeps teeth cleaner. As usual, good price and great delivery by Chewy.

  • My picky cat actually likes them!

    By on

My 10 year old cat has only grown pickier as he grew older, despite not looking a day older than 3 years. He has had his first dental cleaning at the vet which was traumatizing for all parties involved, and it prompted me to do all that I can to prevent dental cleaning and anesthesia for as long as possible. The vet gave me a sample of this and equivalent from another brand, but my cat preferred Royal Canin and he actually will eat them regularly over his other dry/wet foods! I was a little worried about the hardness/size, but he seems to be fine with it. I think it's helping with his tartar as well! Looking forward to feeding my beloved furball with this for as long as possible for optimal dental My 10 year old cat has only grown pickier as he grew older, despite not looking a day older than 3 years. 3 picky Siamese love this food and it's always a relief to hear their teeth look great at the vet, eldest 11 and eating this most of her life. So I guess it is working. Thanks Chewy for the great prices and fast delivery.

  • It really works!

When my 13-year-old kitty, Cheeto, had his teeth cleaned, it was suggested he be fed Royal Canin's Dental Dry food to try to eliminate tartar build-up. I mix it in with his Royal Canin Urinary SO dry food, and there has been no tartar build-up since.

  • My Cat Does Well on this Prime Dental Food

    By on

I started using this food for my 8-year old Tabby cat about three years ago. I mix it with another Purina brand food. He eats it all. The veterinarian says his teeth look great. Ordering Royal Canin from Chewy saves me about $8.00. You do need a vet Rx for it.
