  • Excellent kidney food

    By on

My 17-year-old grumpy cat Charlie who is the most finicky feline ever really dug into Royal Canin! He's still enjoying it, which is longer than any other brand I've tried. It's soft enough for him to eat it without dragging it out of his bowl onto the floor (don't ask me, he's just started doing this). If your kitty needs kidney prescription food, buy Royal Canin! He loves the dry stuff, too.

  • Buying a Case of Vet Cat Food

    By on

I wish I could have bought less than a case of this cat food, as my cat was not expected to live too long because of mouth cancer. I have well over 12 cans left and it is a vet prescribed food/medicine product.

  • Excellent Choice for ailing older cats

    By on

I actually use this food as a supplemental diet for my 20 yr old that has renal disease. She has a bad front tooth and is too frail and old to get it pulled at this point so when it appears to be hurting her, I assist feed her via syringe with this food. It's a perfect texture for assist feeding and she loves it and it keeps her weight on and keeps her very satisfied. She does also eat on her own but at her age, she tends to be quite picky and to not eat enough calories so this helps out a lot. She doesn't mind...actually I think she quite enjoys getting fed by mommy. She is doing great!

  • Finally found a food my finicky cat will eat.

I've tried many, many foods for my finicky cat who is prone to fur balls. She loves this diet. I mix it with a little warm water and she chows it down.

I purchased the Royal Canin Recovery RS for my premature puppy and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The product was a great price.....a little more watery than the cans I got from the vet but overall a great product and great service. I would highly recommend this company.

  • A real lifesaver

    By on

Our cat, a 14 yo Maine Coon cat, Captain 'Kirk', had a bout of illness two months ago, and, never fully recovered, having lost almost 4 pounds, from a lifetime weight of no less than 16 pounds. He was skin and bones, no muscle, no fat. My husband, who loves Kirk every bit as much as I do, actually suggested that we let his illness run its course. I was not ready to let him go. So, I asked our veterinarian if there were a high calorie food she could recommend. We purchased a case of 24 Recovery, and, Kirk was on it immediately. Normally, he would not eat canned food, only licking the juice, never eating the solid food. Not so with Recovery, he eats all of the food. In the space of 5 days, we have noticed a difference in his strength, and, his body is obviously picking up weight, although we do not have a scale to prove it. Just last week, he was barely able to jump up on our bed, he remained in his favorite sleeping spot nearly all day, getting up only to use the litter box, or, eat small amounts of food, barely enough to keep him alive. Now, the old Kirk is coming back. He is far more active. He needs to have some bad teeth removed, and, we have been concerned about whether he had the strength to tolerate the anesthetic. That is no longer a concern. We have 3 cats: 'Flash' Gordon, another Maine Coon, and, brother to Kirk, and, Savannah, a 3 year old rescued American shorthair 'tuxedo', and, best buddy to Kirk. I will forever be grateful to Royal Canin, for restoring our 'family'. … more

  • Great for both my very elderly Dog & Cat!

    By on

My dog Angel is 19 and my cat Sweety is 18. They both have become picky eaters the last year or so and this food has been a lifesaver, for real. I tried every single wet food at the premium pet food store, both ate a bit, never to touch it again. I had a can of of RC Recovery from a few months back and decided to try it, out of desperation. It worked for both of them! I mix in the Hill's I/D for my dog and some Wellness herring for my cat for the last few months. Angel pup has gained a full pound (now 11 lbs) and Sweety cat is about 8 lbs, up a half pound. They look great and are energetic and happy!

  • Fussy dog loves Recovery RS!

    By on

This was recommended by my vet. Didn't think my old one would eat it since I have always made her food. She fooled me once again by gobbling up the first portion. Makes me very happy since she needs to gain some weight. Thank you Royal Canin, Thank you Chewey. Great price, too.
