Most pets have a small frame as compared to a human, and just a few extra pounds can have a dramatic effect on their life expectancy. Also, the extra weight can lead to other serious problems such as diabetes, heart disease, joint problems, skin irritations, and urinary tract disorders. A properly balanced, calorie controlled diet is essential for safe, efficient weight loss. Simply feeding less of the current diet may not provide enough essential nutrients, and may lead to deficiencies. An effective calorie restrictive diet should be low in fat, nutrient-rich, palatable, calorie restricted, and should satisfy your pet’s appetite. This diet has been specially formulated to assist weight loss and management of hunger between meals in the feline patient.

Key Benefits

  • Calories are controlled to restrict energy intake and promote healthy weight loss
  • All essential nutrients are increased relative to energy to ensure nutrient requirements are met
  • Enhanced levels of glucosamine and chondroitin to help promote joint health
  • A combination of soluble and insoluble fiber to optimize gastrointestinal motility and promote a feeling of fullness
  • Eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids are long chain omega-3 fatty acids that promote a healthy skin and coat
  • Increased protein content

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Secondary Food, Large Nuggets. My cats were slow to eats this food at first, so I had to add it to their other dry food. The nuggets are really large for cats, and I think they had a hard time, especially the older cats. But if they get some of it into their system with each meal, I'm happy. They seem to like the taste ok, but not the difficulty of eating just one piece. September 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The cats love it. Not only is this a healthier diet for our cats but customer service was exemplary. We had to change our usual order from another brand and the online help made the transition smooth. September 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cats love the taste. Even though Feline Satiety is a veterinary prescription wight management food, our cats loved it from the first bite. You need to watch the amount you feed, or the weight loss will not happen. July 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Same great taste, less calories The Satiety Support was recommended by my kitties' vet (you need their OK to buy this product) because one of my cats was not yet considered fat but his weight was on an upward trend. My vet suggested this product because it makes your cat feel full with less calories as their regular kibble. Oreo is one of those cats that will eat as much food as you put out and if there is nothing to eat, will give you sad kitty eyes and rub his face against the kibble storage bin. Both my cats took to this kibble right away without being picky or stomach problems after I slowly began to mix it into their regular Halo dry food. In addition to adding into their regular dry food, I can give them an extra 1/3 cup for "second dinner" if they wolf down their wet food dinner and not feel guilty. It is not an inexpensive product, but if you mix it in with their regular kibble it will last you longer than you think. And as much as fat kitties can be, you'll have a happier and healthier friend if you help them watch their weight to keep them slim. March 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful!! My cat loves this food. On it he has lost almost 3lbs. I really like using to order this food, it is very hard to fin locally. July 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Diet cat food Vet put my lovely fat cat on this food :) she loves this food!! It's nice to be able to have it on auto ship and to be able to get a bigger bag without having to go to the vets office to pick it up. She definitely looks forward to her meal times. June 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great taste per the cat! Haven't seen much weight loss yet. He still gets into the dog food once in a while. But he sits on the table(have to keep it off the floor) and cries til we put his food in his bowl. He gobbles it right up. Our other (skinny) cat loves the taste, too. Have to shoo her away if "Buddy" leaves any. This is a rare moment, though. He has only been in it about a month. May 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 cats, 1 of them is overweight I switched all 3 cats to this food for the sake of the one overweight one. All 3 love it and are shunning the old food. I tried to give them the old stuff just to get rid of it and the will actually pick around it. Overweight one hasn't lost much weight after about 4 weeks on it but our larger cat who wasn't considered overweight, is looking a little more trim. March 1, 2016
