Rated 4 out of 5 by Our cat loves this dry food Since Nov 2015 our cat was losing weight, barfing copious amounts of food and liquid. One vet put him on Hill's dry and wet food (I/d#. He didn't like the wet food. When he ate the dry food, we realized he was drinking a lot of water, then, his tummy would bloat and within 1 to 2 days, he threw all of it up. A friend suggested we soak the dry food to soften it up #took 1 3/4 to 2 hours! Then, he didn't want it. The 3rd vet recommended this cat food and he loves it. So far, he hasn't thrown up BUT, he is still on a steroid pill every 3 days so I'm not totally convinced it's just the food YET. Hoping! Also, just to see, we soaked the dry food, it only takes about 30 minutes to soften #big difference) although we don't have to soften this food; he can eat as is. Thank goodness he likes it because he is now regaining his weight back. I know this food is helping him but will upgrade to excellent once he's off the steroids and I see if it really works. BYB, the vet thinks he has irritable bowel syndrome. March 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by What Abigail needed! We have been trying to find a food that our Abigail would eat for 14 months. It has been challenging because she has many allergies to common proteins. I tried several other Limited Ingredient diets, all to be rejected by her. She has been eating foods that were the least objectionable and still scratching somewhat with sporadic ear problems. We were just thrilled she ate because she has been known to starve herself if she isn't given what she likes. Desperation caused me to give this food a try and it turns out...she loves it! She has had it for 3 days now and so far it seems like a winner. I have to admit that I was concerned about the hydrolyzed soy protein it contains but when I looked that up my fears were put aside. Somehow they make the protein so small that it isn't reacted to as an allergen. Anyway, already we are seeing very little to no scratching without any litter issues. I would love her to eat the canned as well and we are trying, but sadly that doesn't look as promising. At any rate she is eating the dry and seems to be enjoying it which makes us all happy! Another huge plus is that it only has 332 calories per cup, so 1/2 a cup is more that she needs or eats per day. Very satisfied so far and will keep ordering as long as she will eat it. July 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fast service I was very pleased that they were able to get it to me so fast. My cats were on their last serving when it arrived. With the allergies that my cat has I could not use anything else and they would have been very hungry Thanks chewy August 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product for my IBD cat My cat was recently diagnosed with irritable bowel disorder and was prescribed this food. Within about 2 months it has reduced her vomiting about 90%, she has put on weight and her coat looks shiny and beautiful. She is doing much better thankfully. The only reason I did not give this food 5 stars is because of the price. On a small income it is very difficult for me to afford this food especially since I also feed my dog pricey food as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this food for cats with IBD. August 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Perfect Solution My kitty has had digestive problems for years, and recently her vet recommended baby food supplemented with Royal Canin for overall feline nutrition. After 3 months of this diet, we have apparently eliminated all digestive problems. Chewy posted the package quickly and it arrived almost immediately! July 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saved our cat's life Our cat was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and was sick constantly. After some time on this food, he was back to himself (with the occasional hairball.) Super bonus - we switched him to another, less expensive LID food and he was ok for a while until he got another flare. We needed Royal Canin Vet Diet Selected Protein - fast - but our vet would not have it for a few days. I ordered like usual through Chewy but with the vet's info and got on Chewy chat support to ensure the order would be expedited and the specialist called the vet personally and got Verbal Confirmation! Fantastic service!!! Thank MEW Chewy.com! June 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by good my two cats love it but one is on an antibiotic and having a diarrhea problem so vet said for now go back to SD z/d, hoping can go back to RC, your service people are the BEST and your shipping so quick, I will be continuing to use you and recommend you to others, It would be nice if you had a wish list, right now I tell people go look at wish list on A and then come over to you, usually you are cheaper and such good service, also when are you going to get gift cards? Rated 5 out of 5 by Life Saver! My 3 year old cat was recently diagnosed with food allergies. (poor thing had itchy, raw skin with sores because of it.) Dr prescribed this kibble and I was wary at first. If you know cats, they are sooooo fickle with food. I was very relieved to find that both my cats really enjoy it! Thank goodness! June 26, 2016
